I'm not sure how Criminal Minds got higher rating than Jericho, Criminal Minds was terrible! The only good part about the show is that George Bluth's nipple tweaking FBI agent played a minor part, all the other acting was just awful!

I disagree with you. Even against Lost last year, this show has posted good numbers. I like the cast and the chemistry that they share. The writing is sometimes suspect but for the most part is okay. In regards to Jericho, I have posted my thoughts on the show's thread.

Really sad about Bones. Justice sucks, but Bones has been a can't miss for me.

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I'm kinda into Justice (though the young lead lawyer actor sucks big time). I like the concept, the style of the show and of course the Warren Zevon theme music. If it were on CBS, with all it's procedural bretherin, it would have been a hit, IMO. Guess I shouldn't get too attached to it now...

I like Justice also and I am surprised it is not doing better. I was thinking that Fox should move it after House instead of Standoff, I think it would have a better chance.

Once Lost comes back it is really going to be toast.

Come on people The Office is in 9th place while garbage like Deal or no Deal and Survivor are beating it, start watching The Office people.

I don't know about that. I looked at last year's week 1 to week 2 drops, Grey's dipped 5% and CSI 4%, so looking at the viewership, even if GA dropped 8% (which I doubt), that still gives them around 23m to CSI's (using 4%) 21m. Unless people watching felt it was overhyped, I can't see Grey's Anatomy losing that much ground. Now, throughout the season, it'll be interesting to see how much hold it retains.

Yeah, I agree. I think that Grey's will be able to beat out CSI again this week, just based on the past week's performance. I was surprised to see that they were able to pull it off, but I for one am a happy Grey's fan!

Wonder how Criminal Minds will do against Lost next week? I know it'll lose to it, but it'll be interesting to see how many viewers they hold on to. Also, I read that there will be 6 new episodes of Lost before it goes on a 3 MONTH hiatus... Geez.

The Justice numbers aren't bad for a show that is already announced as on hiatus. It has almost as many viewers as its lead-in Bones.

Which will be followed by the rest of the season, with no breaks. Much better than how they did it last season.

CSI being so popular is very weird to me. I feel you never hear people talk about it anywhere at anytime. I hear people mention Desperate Housewives, American Idol, 24, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, etc...

I don't ever hear people talking about CSI. And yet it's highly rated every year.

I don't know the age range of the people talking about those other shows, but I believe CSI skews older while shows like Desperate Housewives, American Idol and the others seem to attract younger viewers. I don't have any evidence, just a hypothosis about why there isn't much talk (plus, while each episode, IMO, is good, outside of the Tarantino-directed finale, there isn't really much to talk about).

It's not really a format that generates much discussion IMHO. They are usually stand alone shows that are completely resolved before the end credits. There's a couple of things that carry over from show to show but it's nothing to the level of "what's in the hatch" like on Lost.

Can someone please explain to me how a show with less viewers can have a higher rating? Are certain viewers weighted more than others?

Shame The Office lost so many viewers from last week.

Figures, I'm really enjoying "Kidnapped" and it will probably be the first show to get cancelled this season if the two Fox shows do come back (Happy Hour, Justice). This show is getting killed on Wednesdays at 10:00pm.
Do something NBC!

What I find interesting is that the strong ratings for both CSI and Gray's Anatomy at 2100 hours ET/2000 hours CT could send usage of VCR's soaring and sales of PVR's soaring, too. :)
