Funny shit.
He told the audience he was going to put on a classy show and that the masturbating bear was left in NY. Next shot is the bear parachuting out of a plane to get to the show.
Now, Mr. T is taking him on a tour of the city..

Yep. I'm watching a bit of it. Just checking to make sure Cheap Trick was on when I found out he's in Chicago.
George Wendt looks like a heart attack waiting to happen.
What are the odds they'll do something w/Playboy?

I know what you mean because I could think of many many songs I would have rather heard them do, but they're also going to be on Conan on June 29th to promote the new album.

I thought it was funny that when they went to commercial the first had Mr. T in it and the second had the Will and Grace guy.
re: Cheap Trick-at least they didn't do "The Flame".
I looked at the rest of the week and the guests aren't too thrilling. I'm sure there will be some more local pop-ups.
They should do more with the hottie that was supposedly in the worst seat in the house. A plant by chance? Hmmmm.

John C. Reilly and Conan just did a duet of "The Night Chicago Died".
Earlier Conan and Jeff Garlin visited their old apartment. Good stuff. The tenant had a Jagermeister machine. Never saw that before.
I haven't finished watching last night's tape yet.

But: All the great bands that call Chicago home, and they book... John Mayer?
I could also do without the theaterful of drunken louts. "Dude, he just totally mentioned a street I've been on! Woooooo!!!!!!"

How are you guys around the country liking the week of shows?
I'm liking them, but I'm from Chicago. I get the feeling that a lot of it is way to local to be funny to those outside of Chicago. But maybe its me.

Dammit! I had it set to tape but hadn't turned off the machine. What did I miss in the first ten minutes tonight?
I would say the shows are definitely much better if you know Chicago which I do a fair amount. Others are probably scratching their heads quite a bit.

Did you catch the desk-driving bit? I usually tune out for that, but tonight there was a very good reason to catch it.

I was catching up with my DVR'd eps of Conan this weekend and I have to say that the Chappelle interview was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. So glad to see him back. Easily still one of the best living comedians.
