Marvin Candle - Swan video - Fake arm Mark Wickman - Pearl video - Real arm Twins? ( bad twin book ) Is one a clone of the other? Also, strange that both videos are copyright 1980 but the Swan one was shot on film while the Pearl one was shot on videotape. Cutbacks maybe? They both still seemed to have their glass eye though... |
The EW article is an interesting read. A couple of little sayings here and there that could provide an idea of where this is going. I do believe, though. that we will see a drastic change in the scheduling next season.

I think the bank tube must go to the "new" Fantasy Island.
http://img.timeinc.net/ew/features/9...tasyisland.jpg Did anyone else watch that show? They had an elaborate bank tube system to reach Mr. Roarke on the island. |
So do we think they have this all planned out or are they writing it as they go along?

This might have been brought up before, but:
Anyone else feel like this Candle/Wick dude is somewhere on the island? Like in another station? Like the station the bank tube leads to? Perhaps the "incident" involved him losing his arm? Could it be the Swan blast doors chopped it off somehow? If Candle Wick was ever a part of the experiment in the Swan it could be him who drew the map. |

Yes, but will anyone be left who cares in a few years? Are they trying to make this the new Touched by an Angel? |

Yes, but will anyone be left who cares in a few years? Are they trying to make this the new Touched by an Angel? I read that line to my wife this weekend and she said "ummm... no." I have to agree. I do NOT want this show to go on for years and years with stories about the characters and their lives and "redemptions". That is going to get old fast, and I think the ratings will sink like a stone. Ultimately, what I want (and what I think most viewers want too?) is for the story/mystery to slowly be solved over the course of another 2-3 years. And then end the damn thing. I don't want this to turn into ER with a whole new cast of characters. I don't want it to run so long that the mythology impodes upon itself (ala X-Files). Unfortunately, it sounds like the creative team is planning for this to run for a long time, with no real endgame in sight. (grumble) |

Also, I was rewatching the episode with my brother-in-law who hadn't seen it yet. When it got to the cliff, he didn't see the mark in the ground at first. I rewound it and showed the scene again, pointing to what I thought was a "?". My wife disagreed, saying that it wasn't a "?", at least not until the plane fell on it. She thought it was an "O", possibly a symbol for Pearl Station. It made me wonder, maybe all the stations have a marker that can only be seen from overhead. It would explain how the dropped food arrived where it did. So, just to poll people, was it an "?", or a "O" ? |

in the video - what is the dome-like structure that he is standing behind? could this entire "island" be inside some sort of Bio-Dome - and, if so, when does Pauly Shore appear?
Hey there Hurley, buuuuuuuuuuudy |

Looks like a circle to me.

it's a question mark, if you factor in the hatch door as the dot. remember, it is right under the plane's tail.

I vote for ?
