Any news on the fate of "Surface"?
 

Anyone have any news on "Surface"? As far as I heard, it was cancelled. Being a big fan monster flicks I was hoping this show would make it through.

Won't know ubtil after the upfronts in a few weeks when the networks announce their fall schedules. It probably won't be back.

It was a fun season, and got better in the second half when the major "conspiracy" theory got a new twist. But considering how the season ended, I really can't imagine how NBC can write a season 2... looked pretty much like the apocalypse to me at the end.

It's coming out on DVD in August. It is called "Season 1" and not "Complete Series" but that might be because no decision has been made yet. It probably depends on if they have any good pilots lined up.

Cinefex recently did an issue that had a story on the special effects in Surface. If it does come back, the producers have a definite direction in mind for the show.
