They should've put Alexis Arquette on it.
That would be awesome enough to make me watch it at least once. |

I am through watching that show now. Not that I watched much to begin with, just for fifteen minutes or so while on break at work, but now I have no reason to watch it at all. Hopefully they will find somebody else soon, or the View will soon be cancelled.

Star to Rosie: "You're gay? So is my husband!" I think this hire might be designed to force Star to quit. I don't think they have been to happy with her since the wedding brouhaha. I wish they'd dump Ditzy Bitsy. That girl is insufferable and has a permanent stick up her ass. Ok, back on topic. I love Viera and cannot stand Rosie..yuck. Not that I watched the show that much anyways, but I'll never be turning in now. |
Oh man!! Kathy Griffin had that great bit about her appearance on The View.

I thought Rosie would be too busy teaching gym in high schools.

Did anyone see the Daytime Emmy Awards? Disgusting. Barbara Walters was on stage giving Carol Spiney the lifetime achievement award. He has performed Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street for 30 years. And do you think they would let him make a speech? No! And why? Because Barbara needed the time to roll out that big, fat Rosie to announce she would be joining The View. God I hate backstage TV politics, I really do.

I've been travelling for the last week, so I have fallen behind on pretty much all news, but I did manage to catch this.
I usually watch The View for about 2 minutes at lunch time. I like Viera a lot. She does a great job as a host, and there is no way in hell that O'Donnell will be able to adequately replace her. Jones contract is up in September, so I doubt that she will be back. Word had it that they were looking at bringing in Patricia Heaton to replace Veira, and probably would have let Hasselbeck go, as they are so similar politically. I think that I read in one column that they are looking for a latino to replace Jones, assuming she leaves. What has Rosie said about Jones? I didn't realize they were at odds. |
I think it was an all star hire.
I don't think most folks at this site are the views target audience. Say what you want about Rosie, she will deliver some ratings and good tv. I'll tivo a few eps, something i have not done to that show since it first aired. |
I think that the producers of the View have underestimated how many people are sick of Rosie. I know a couple of die hard fans (one who actually came out largely because of Rosie) that can't stomach her anymore.

I expect, feelings of most of us aside, it'll be a smart move and a solid boost to the show. Rosie's gotten mostly bad press since leaving daytime TV, but she can play smarmy media darling as well as any other well-seasoned TV talk star. She'll have the View audience in love with her almost immediately, and she can probably overpower any conflict with the rest of the cast.

I really can't stand this show, and this just breathes new life into that hatred.
|
This could be some of the greatest television ever. Maybe Rosie can go old school Ozzy Osbourne on Elizabeth and bite her head off.
