Whoa, GREAT episode. I've been barely keeping up in the second half of the season since it was alot of stand-alone episodes, but I knew since the finale was coming up that the main storyline would be picking it up, so I tuned it tonight.

One intense episode tonight. Next week's finale looks damn good as well. Although, I have to wonder if they end the storyline in the finale, what will happen next year.

Great part I of the season finale. With Meg back and the fire demon still out there, next week's conclusion looks like a doozy.

And just who was that guy with Meg? He seems more powerful than she is.

Great episode. Wondering though - the demon was able to escape Sam and Dean. Was is real or just a decoy? Because that gun should have done the trick.

I also wonder if Meg is a little let down that that boss dude of hers tested the Colt on her. Something like that would make anyone take pause about obeying their orders.

I think it was the real deal. Sam hesitated on shooting it just long enough to allow the demon to teleport away.

It's Sebastian Spence who starred in the sci-fi series First Wave.

I enjoyed Part I of the season finale and can't wait for this week episode.

I'm also wondering if they are going to resolve the fire demon storyline on the season finale and what could they possibly do next season (if renewed).

Spoiler:
dad dead?

good episode. could set up a great season ender.

and man do they find some good eye candy for the 'extra' women on this show.

wife also mentioned.....is there a theme song for this show? it always seems to go from intro to title to storyline. and they play a 'pop' song with it usually. kinda interesting.

I don't think that there's a theme song for this show.

One of the best thing about the show is the good use of classic rock songs in the episodes.

I'm thinking that the demon is trying to kill babies who have some sort of psychic abilities like Sam. Something the mother said about her baby gave me that impression.

Hey, does anyone know the name of the song played at the beginning while they were catching everyone up with a montage? I can't remember the name of it and it's driving me a little insane. I didn't record the episode so I can't go back and listen either to see if the title is in the lyrics.

Being a quiet baby has also been said of Sam

Very good episode, can't wait for the finale.

And I like the way it was explained: Dean's cassette collection in the car is almost entirely '70s-era and early '80s rock with virtually nothing from the past 20 years or so.

(Because of this, I do wonder if the music is intentionally supposed to be from the time before their Mom died in 1983, AKA a happier time in their lives.)

that's a good point.

i kinda hope this raps up the episodes with dad. i'd like to go back to 'chick of the week' and 'monster of the week' with a good interspersing of a carried through storyline like they did most of this season.
