Star Trek 2.0 on G4 - what the heck?!
 

Does *anyone* think this is a good idea? I tuned in the first night looking forward to watching the complete TOS in order. Instead, we get some window-boxed picture with a bunch of inane chatter and annoying trivia. Ok, fine - trivia is cool, but what about a ticker along the bottom instead?

Am I alone, or does everyone else think this is an ass-backwards idea?

It's G4, why the surprise? They ruin everything they touch on purpose.

I dunno... As a "Trekkie" i've been getting a kick out of it. I've seen all the episodes a million times so i'm watching everything else going on. The tally on the left is funny if you're paying attention and you know the series (the tally for "Uhura panty shots" just keeps going up). The facts running at the top of the screen are actually pretty good and point out some dumb mistakes they made during the show. The chatter at the bottom is stupid and I ignore that. On the right is the Spock market where you can buy/trade stocks on their web site.

If you don't like any of that stuff you can always just watch the episode. Big window or small window the series isn't going to get any better.
