Cast: Peter Gallagher, Benjamin McKenzie, Kelly Rowan, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson, Melinda Clarke. Producer(s): Josh Schwartz, Doug Liman, McG, Dave Bartis, Bob DeLaurentis. Original Airdate: April 20, 2006. The O.C. |
Do colleges have pre-frosh orientations before high school graduation? I remember going to orientations when I was applying to universities and obviously they have them when you first arrive on campus for your freshman year, but I don't remember any in the springtime.
Then again, I also don't remember everyone getting their acceptance letters on the same day. Or a rejection letter arriving in a big envelope. Oh well, who cares? Anna Stern is back tonight! That should make this show at least moderately watchable. |
Wait, if Seth didn't get into college, which orientation is he going to?

Anna's hair extensions look ridiculous on her.

 |
I LOVE ANNA!
Marisa and Ryan need to NEVER get together again. Seth needs to just TELL Summer. Pull her aside and just blurt it out! And I find it weird that ALL the colleges have this same "pre" orientation on the SAME weekend. And um also, did Summer, Ryan, or Marissa even ACCEPT admission to Brown and UC:B? AH, some aspects of this college stuff is cute, while others are downright ridiculous! |
Well, Ryan can believe easier now since Theresa confirmed the paternity of her boy.
Summer's gonna stew for the entire plan ride home, damn, that would suck. Marissa going back to Volchuk's pad was ick-ville. Kirsten's off the wagon once again. |
Damn, next episode looks like classic O.C...
|
Yeah, Ryan goes overboard! About time Volchuk got a fist full of Atwood.
|
I said, "Goal!", when Kirsten downed the wine. And my wife got mad at me.
 Kirsten's toast was great. And Julie still calls her "Kiki". :D As much as Mischa Barton can annoy me on this show, she is a million times better than she was in S1. |
My heart went out to Kirsten when she drank that glass of wine...SADFACE
|
I haven't seen The Sound of Music in a long time, but didn't the guy from the gazebo end up being a Nazi who almost foiled the von Trapp's escape at the end of the movie?
|
This episode reminded me of season 1 in the way i would sit there anxious waiting for them to get back to Seth, Summer, and Anna.
|
Anna looked OLD!!! Some serious bags under those eyes. What do they put in the water in Pittsburgh?
This was not a very good episode, Anna notwithstanding. Taylor was once again MIA(although they showed her in next week's preview). The coincidental timing of the college orientations was absurd. And they're once again recycling storylines. Kirsten is an alkey once more. And I really shuddered at Marissa leaving Berkeley to comfort Ryan. That scene coupled with the preview of him attacking Voltron better not be a hint at the two of them getting back together yet again. I swore if that happened, I was done with this show. |
Samaire Armstrong is 25 years old. I think the hair extensions made her look older as well.
|
I can't remember an episode when Mishca Barton had so much dialog! She actually held a conversation at times!!!

It was a lot less than she wore in S1. Seth is such a pussy. |

I don't watch the show regularly anymore but saw the last 20 minutes last night. Interesting to see they brought both Anna and Theresa back. Two characters that never should have gone away in the first place.
About the baby. Let's see, he has red hair, blue eyes and looks anything but Hispanic. This is a Soap after all. I'd ask to see the Paternity test. http://www.tvgasm.com/images/misctv/...eresa_baby.jpg |

Okay, hes Indian, my bad. But the kid would not look like that if it was between eddie and theresa. |
The Theresa thing couldn't possibly be over. I see no reason for them to bring her in for one episode just to give Ryan a baby scare and then disappear again.
I'm really curious what gets Taylor to scream her head off at something in the previews of upcoming episodes. |

but that's so typical of the OC. Theresa comes and goes like the common cold; she never does any real damage though.
|
I was reading in TV guide that there will be lots of changes next season due to the ratings dropping and the buzz stopping.

Hey, if Beverly Hills 90210 could limp well past it's time - by at least 3 or 4 seasons it really shouldn't have - then The O.C. should be able to make it through one more. While the show is still nowhere near as good as it's first season was, I still prefer watching it (in a mindless escapism way) over any similar type show on the air these days. Besides, they need at least one more season to fix all the crap (especially that Sandy and Seth have gotten themselves into) that they've messed up this season. Or at least a chance to, anyway. I'll give 'em at least one more year. |
anna's fake tan looked like crap
|
Anna Anna Anna !!
Kirsten was a real bitch chewing Sandy out at that dinner. |
Well I thought it was a meh episode.
The more I actually sit and think about it they have really taken the characters someplace they don't belong (at least some of them). I don't feel like I actually saw Sandy's downfall. I thought he was back to normal when he told that guy he was going to take him down. Then poof?! And WTF with Kirstin? She would never stand for this. I call CRAP on her turning back to the bottle because this is all so hard. She'd stop Sandy before she let him walk out like that. And what happened to all that stuff about, "Oh Seth, I can do this because of you." Suddenly that's just gone?! I think not. Oh look Theresa...whatever. F' that. Then suddenly Marrisa feels for V for Vommit because he watched the Sound of Music?...right. I'm most pissed about the Kirstin bit. I wanted to slap her for a) being a total bitch to Sandy like that, and b) drinking that glass Here's to some Atwood kick-ass next week. |
Oh yeah, isn't this Anna in the Daneil Powter music video for - Had a Bad Day?
I noticed that this morning while it was on. http://www.samairearmstrong.net/gall...album=3&pos=46 She looks much better there than in the ep. |
