MTV's "Yo Momma!"
When I saw the promos for this show, I thought it would be pretty lame. It is pretty funny to see these kids "represent" for their hoods. It's great when they talk smack even after they lose, too. Some of them are pretty funny. Anyone else watching this?

I almost started a thread on this last week. I didn't know it is a new show, just happened upon it while channel surfing.
That being said, this show is proof that stations will air absolutely anything no matter if the show is absolute shit. A whole show about talking smack and yo mamma jokes... The one I saw was mildly amusing, but I couldn't imagine sitting through another episode, much less intentionally. |
Well, he needed some gig after That 70's show ended. The show in itself is rather strange. I mean, half of the jokes bomb and the whole "grading" system is skewed. The whole idea of going and looking for their dirt is pretty funny. Having it set so far in the areas that are represented being the same ones I've grown up around was interesting but there doesn't seem to be much change in people's "style" when it comes to yo momma jokes.

This show is almost as edited and thrown together as that "Date my Mom" show, where every line and situation is pre-scripted, and acted without an ounce of emotion. |

rotfl - That's funnier than anything on the show.

This was just... wow, I don't even know how to qualify it. I was flipping around and stopped for a few minutes. It was completely hypnotizing for about 5 minutes because I absolutely could not believe this was on television. It was an official standards dropping moment, and it was even funnier to hear Fez talk on Jimmy Kimmel about it completely seriously as if he was recreating the underground rap battle scene.

I said that after quoting this: "..half of these kid's are living large." :horse: |
If I want to watch two peeps go after each other with "Yo Momma!" jokes, I'll put in my dvd of White Men Can't Jump.

is this the same thing that was on the HBO show "Snaps" a number of years ago?

You know, a long while ago I posted a thread about MTV's "Your Face or Mine" being the worst show ever. I think that "Yo Momma" is coming close behind with a vengence. I tried watching it the other day, just cause my tv was left on MTV. Really really bad. And Fez is taking the whole thing way too seriously for a show like this. This show might have flew 15 years ago. Way to hit a trend at it's peak Fez.

Those kid's we're on fire tonight! Some of they're joke's were obviously from the internet, but the guy that one put it down for his hood!
