I sure hope that the show is better than those crappy commercials.
Mary J Blige: "It sounds so sexy when you say it."
Antonio Banderas: "Quesadilla."

Living near Atlanta, I loved the Cynthia McKinney bit at the start of the show.
Looks like Antonio is game and willing to go for broke, so hopefully the writing is at least coherent and somewhat funny.
Surprised Antonio didn't even plug his new movie opening this weekend.

Feh. No real laughs. The first 45 minutes was just okay, but the latter part of the show was terrible. AB was a decent host.
As for Mary J. Blige, I don’t know her from a hole in the wall, but those songs were painful. Nothing but caterwauling.
Anderson Cooper 360
Myers as Cooper talking about illegal immigration, and AB is on as the president of Mexico. Best part was Thompson as the congresswoman who slapped a cop for not letting her into the capitol building.
Monologue
AB reveals that he is really a woman. I thought we had progressed from the days where a man in a dress was the punch line. Guess not.
Basic Instinct 2
Quick promo about Sharon Stone trying to flash her beaver again, and no one’s interested.
Deal or No Deal
Best bit of the night with Armisen as Howie Mandel and AB as the contestant who’s having a really hard time comprehending the game. Mildly funny, but it doesn’t really make a lot of sense because you’d have to be a drooling moron not to understand this relatively simple game.
Party
AB chatting up Dratch at a dinner party, and she’s the one who records the instructions on a lot of phone systems. Clever, and Dratch had the operator’s cadence down.
Besos y Lagrimas
Spanish soap opera with a lot of kissing, and then crying, while the wind blows AB’s shirt open. Okay, and really captured the feeling of one of those shows.
Women’s Basketball Coach Fashion Awards
AB as the host of the awards show, with a lot of dyke coaches winning. WTF. Dreadful.
Weekend Update
Funny joke about Tom Delay resigning, then showing clips of him to the song “Bad Day” just like on American Idol. Jokes about Katie Couric taking over CBS news, and Hammond on as Dan Rather, obviously unimpressed by her credentials. Finesse on with some weak bit about knowing when a black woman is angry (she swivels her head, isn’t that fresh and funny!). Forte as Chad Michael Murray (WHO?) because he proposed to two women or some shit like that. Chris Kattan takes time out from obscurity to visit and do a terrible AB impression.
*There was a joke about the missing link between fish and crawling reptiles. The joke was that link was found in a Red Lobster seafood plate. Yeah, not a great joke but I heard that joke earlier in the week and I can’t remember where.
Zorro
AB filming Zorro and not kissing CZJ due to fear of herpes and bird flu, so his double is disgusting Horatio Sanz. Short, but still deadly.
Karaoke
Dratch singing to her date, while Poehler the emcee steals the spotlight and climbs all over him. Yawn, is it time for bed yet?
Backstage
AB, Armisen, and Sanz mention the immigration bill, and say that they are here to steal jobs, women, etc. This is getting worse.
Wine drinking
AB, Parnell, and Poehler drink wine and comment on smells. That's the whole skit. Something smells all right. The last half of this episode was the drizzling shits.

I wanted to rip my eyeballs out during the women's basketball coach skit. 'LOL THEY'RE ALL LESBIANS, GET IT? HILARIOUS, RIGHT?' That must have took a whole five minutes to write.

Makes me want to break things.
Couple laughs from the show, that's about it, and about all I expect.
