UNan1mous: Official thread

Wow... so far its pretty cool to me.....

j123vt_99 03-22-06 08:52 PM

I just don't get these lazy game shows... this one and Deal or No Deal.... how soon will it be til we see Rock, Paper Scissors on TV?

B.A. 03-22-06 08:57 PM

My wife is watching it and said that it "isn't that bad."

That must mean it sucks.

Septemberbaby 03-22-06 08:57 PM

At the end of Idol tonight, Ryan Seacrest said that there was going to be something "shocking" in the first 10 minutes... 20 minutes later and I'm still not shocked.

j123vt_99 03-22-06 08:59 PM

I think they are just making up new rules as they go

plus jd roth trying to act serious is just too funny

Jadzia 03-22-06 09:01 PM

The balls remind me of Minority Report.

I reacted the same way. I really don't want to threadcrap, but am i allowed to say the show was crap, from what i saw.

Septemberbaby 03-22-06 09:07 PM

The only good thing about this show was that it was on for only 30 minutes.

raven56706 03-22-06 09:17 PM

the dancer is hot

Patman 03-22-06 09:30 PM

So, is it unan1mous, this show sucks?

magiccmom 03-22-06 09:36 PM

It's unam1mous, it's :crap:

Wont be watching again....

Trelach24 03-22-06 10:09 PM

Guess I'm glad I missed it while I watched Lost.

firteen88 03-22-06 10:09 PM

I think I'll be tuning in next week. Seems interesting enough to pass 30 minutes. The black woman annoys the balls off of me. It's not Unan1mous, I will be watching...sorry guys.

Rockmjd23 03-22-06 10:37 PM

Man, I really hope the fat guy Steve wins. The "minister" lady and the gay guy going back and forth made me cringe.

deadlax 03-22-06 10:45 PM

Man How does JD Roth still get gigs? Last thing I remember him doing was that video game/funhouse show.

mverleg1 03-22-06 11:28 PM

I recognize I'm in the minority, but I really liked it. I'm always up for a good human experiment! I think it will get funnier as the show progresses. For instance, once you lose eligability to get the money, what's to keep you from walking out the door and cutting the money in half?

Joeboo835 03-22-06 11:36 PM

I absolutely love hte idea of the show, but so far i'm not impressed. That said, i'll give it a couple more weeks, them i'm out if it doesn't improve.

ItsGreekToMe 03-23-06 05:18 AM

I thought it was kind of interesting. I'll probably watch again because I'm a sucker for just about any 'reality' show or game show.

My first observation was that the name of the show doesn't make sense. A unanimous vote of 9 would be 9, not 8 to 1.

Kelly, the minister/internet business owner/bigot is annoying as hell. I would have knocked her on her arrogant ass. (Or I might have pointed out the fact that people have used the Bible to condone slavery in the past, or any other crazy idea for that matter.)

As soon as they revealed that one of the secrects was that someone had filed for bankruptcy when they actually had $100,000 in assets, I just KNEW it was Kelly. NEVER trust the wholier-than-thou types. I wonder how she reconciles that with God's commandment that says 'thou shalt not steal'? CLASSIC! rotfl

das Monkey 03-23-06 08:17 AM

Thank Kelly's God that was only half an hour. First off, it's nowhere near as interesting if it's not actually ... ya know ... unanimous; and secondly, if I wanted to watch obnoxious self-righteous simpletons argue, I'd be watching reruns of Springer. It's like the producers intentionally sought out people too stupid to keep their traps shut for a few days to win $1.5 million. "Hey, I'm a minister ... and btw, I hate gays." "Well fuuuuck Hugh. I'm gay!!!" Gee ... real brainiacs here. Finally, it looks like they're just going to narrow it down until there's only one person (or a couple of people) who actually can win the money, negating the premise. Silly.

I say just give it to the girl with the big tits.

rotfl rotfl rotfl You are so right!

atlantamoi 03-23-06 09:19 AM

Interesting idea, but too much cheese. The idea of kicking people off over their dirty secrets might be the single dumbest thing I've ever seen on a reality show. Who the hell is actually going to write down that they molested their neighbor or murdered their paper boy? Seriously, in the pregame interviews I doubt these people really did air out their worst past actions (although I'm surprised someone offered up they had $100k and filed for bankruptcy).

Actually, the Rock, Paper, Scissors championships are televised every year on ESPN (or maybe its ESPN 2)

RM811 03-23-06 10:08 AM

I think they are showed on ESPN the Ocho!

firteen88 03-23-06 10:25 AM

The Question I keep hearing is: Why don't they all agree to split the money? This was they would all leave with over $100,000. What do you guys think of this? I didn't hear any rules saying they couldn't do this? The only problem I can see is...someone's gotta be voted to win the money and whose to stop that person from saying "F you" I'm not splitting it now.

Patman 03-23-06 10:29 AM

It's probably written into the contract that the winner is forbidden to split the money.
