Welcome back, my love. Luckily, I had my copy of Maxim to hold me over.
|
USAToday says this is only the fourth original episode of VM since 12/07. I certainly hope that means it'll be nearly all new episodes the rest of the way.

Thank God it's back, too...I'd almost forgotten what the mystery this season was. It IS a bus explosion, right? |
First episode I'll be watching first-run!
|
Finally...Thankfully I set my DVR today before I left just in case.
|
According to Neptunsite, the last nine episodes of the season will air straight thru without repeats.
I am glad they pulled it in February. "South Beach" was a really, really crappy lead-in, and was dragging VM down. |
new veronica helping gays and pizza boys since 2004 :)
|
I thought the primary mystery was okay, not all that entertaining, though I was shocked to see Kristin from Laguna Beach fame play the cheerleader. She wasn't bad at acting (definitely seen worse).
It's still weird seeing VM all pals with Jackie. Could Logan have planted the coke in the medicine cabinet? Not sure how he'd plant the speed dial for the Fitzgeralds in the cell phone, though. Hey, another Mac sighting. (She's also on "Big Love" along with Amanda "Lily Kane" Seyfried). The macro-mystery doesn't make it look good for Terrence after what VM found in the tool shed in the hangar. |

True, it just opens up another suspect lead, but VM is written to act like the stink is still on Terrence.
I liked the way Lamb called their bluff. |
I dunno if it is the show or the break between the episodes or (most likely) a combination of both, but that episode just pretty much bounced off me like it didn't even happen. I found Lamb amusing in his one scene, but not enough to connect to the episode. I got nothing.
|
I got little from this episode as well.
Something is missing from the show. Maybe it is conflict that we actually care about. |
Why no Wallace? He was referred to a few times, so his absence was kinda strange.
It was a pretty good episode. I thought that guy who originally went to Veronica was going to be the ultimate culprit, but I guess not. |
Below average episode for me.
The whole Lamb situation doesn't make sense. Why would he insist on arresting Terrance when there is evidence he didn't do it? Plus why wouldn't Terrance release the tape to show how corrupt Lamb was? Not only would it cast doubt on the integrity of the investigation and help his defense, but he would most likely lose his endorsements anyway if arrested. So he would have nothing to lose. Lamb is stupid, but not that stupid. The hanger bomb evidence seems like a red herring, especially since Jackie explicitly said that someone loaned her dad the hanger. Also, we were given another connection between the players when Terrance said that it was Fitzpatrick goons that are putting the pressure on for his loan debts. So the Fitzpatricks are in league with the shady casino boss. I don't think that connection was revealed before. The evidence the casino boss gave Keith seems suspicious also. Why not give a copy of the tapes instead of stills? And why didn't they produce the exact time Kieth asked for, or at least tell exactly what happened. Obviously they were looking for that part of the footage. I didn't recognize the girl who played the lez cheerleader, but her acting seemed pretty bad to me. Not just the way too easy confession/wrap up scene at the end either, but the bathroom scene too. The whole blackmail plot was rather weak, but the bus and Logan plot lines were engaging. I also thought the scenes with Veronica and her father were a little flat. And it was good to see Mac, but she didn't look too great. Too much makeup I think, or maybe just bad lighting. |

Nice to watch new episodes of Veronica Mars but this week episode didn't do anything for me either. However, it did contained two excellent quotes, one by Dick when he called Veronica "a rich guy's kryptonite" and the other was by the pizza delivery boy when he told Veronica that he was a "masterbait"
I didn't find the blackmail mystery interesting enough although Kristin Cavallari looked good and was competent enough in her acting. In regards with the "evidence" found in the hangar against Terrence Cook, I agree with some of the previous posters and say that it is a red herring too. It seems too convenient for Veronica to find the explosives and detonators in the hangar almost like it was planted there. With Logan, I wouldn't put it past him that he planted the cocaine in the bathroom cabinet in order to convince the plastic surgeon's daughter. BTW, does anyone else feel creeped out when you see those two together? |
Yeah, it wasn't the best episode. But, the huge break made any Veronica welcome. :)

Okay, so this show hasn't been on in too long and I'm wondering if I missed an episode somewhere along the way. In the "previously on veronica mars..." sequence, it shows that gay guy admitting to veronica that he's gay. WHEN did that happen? I have absolutely no recollection of that guy.
Also, what was it that the girl handed to Veronica near the end when she realizes that veronica figured her out? It looked like a charm bracelet? I swear, this show is sometimes a headache to follow. I still LOVE it though. :) Oh, and that actress who plays Hannah is horrible. |

I barely remember that girl too if it weren't for the popsicle. :) |
