What is harder to win, American Idol or The Apprentice?
I realize the skill set required is very different, but which show does everyone think a contestant has a harder time winning?
I think it's American Idol. It's an individal competition and many times the contestants are reqired to perform songs outside their specialty. Like everyone singing Stevie Wonder tonight. |
I agree that it is American Idol, but I vote that way strictly based upon the idea I have that more people seriously audition for AI than seriously audition for The Apprentice these days.
|
I agree with Jimmy James. There are just so many people who try out for AI, and then they have to make it through Hollywood week and then to the top 12, and then they have to face the most fickle judges of all -- the American public.

I went with Idol....on Apprentice it seems too easy to fly under the radar and then have one or two shining moments to get you to the final few people....Idol requires you to put it out there and the audience is not forgiving if you screw it up, even once
|
AI by a mile, all you have to do to win the apprentice is be the gender and race that Donald Trump thinks will generate the most buzz for his retarded ego ass.
On AI you have to get tens of millions of people to vote for you...is the Apprentice even a real competition? |
The Apprentice is too capricious since it's only The Donald doing the elimination, and just bear in mind he does what he does in his own best interests.
|
American Idol is definitely harder. Idol requires actual talent, live performances, and more endurance. Apprentice is taped, pretty much only requires people skills, and requires a fair degree of luck. I don't think I have ever looked at the Idol final 6 or 12 and thought I could even come close to doing better. Apprentice, however, is something I think I could suceed in.

American Idol. In The Apprentice, like someone stated, be good and shine in a few key moments and you're in the final 2-4.
