If Tony is fucking dead and the bastards didn't give him the no tick sendoff I'll be beyond pissed. He deserves it more than Edgar. Which, of course, leads me to believe that Tony will be alive.

There was no silent countdown at the end like there was for Edgar last week. Hopefully that means that Tony didn't die (yet).

I called the Hobbit sacrificing himself during last episode's thread!!!

But we are NOT sure that Tony is dead for certain. He might just have passed out.
Anybody know for sure that Tony is dead?

Noone knows as of now. I figured it'd be Lynn as well.

As did I since it was obvious that it was either him or Tony and he made much more sense.

I don't know about that, fox made sure we knew Jack would live by treating us to a preview of the next episode before this episode was even over. They are really pissing me off. It was one thing when they would show scenes from the last 5 minutes of an episode in a preview, but to show scenes from the following episode is unacceptable. Fuck Fox.

It could have been worse for Tony. It would have been a far more humiliating death to be killed by Mandy.

OK, does Jack get 2 more kills for sending the Hobbit and the red-shirt to their deaths?

Holy shit. They really are killing off EVERYONE. I am pretty pissed that Tony bought it, but I don't think they can play it up as "Tony just passed out, he's OK"... I have a feeling this time it's permanent. Also, I don't think the silent clock would have worked 2 weeks in a row... also, since Jack was getting his cry on pretty good, the clock really ramped up the tension at the end. This season is moving along like a well oiled machine. Surprised at Kim's feelings towards Jack, but I guess she has her reasons. Next week, the best 2 hour block of TV on any network begins...can't wait.

MATT

and a note to the above who mentioned they showed a promo for NEXT week MID episode...they showed that SAME promo LAST WEEK mid episode as well...the should know better and should have used old footage for the promo, really letdown that they did this...twice no less.

Yeah, but we don't know if he'll be alive at the end of the season. If this was to be the last season, I could see Jack dying at the end to save the country one more time.

Well it's already been greenlit for Season 6, so there's no way that'll happen.

And did anyone else love when Jack just wrapped his hands around that shrink's throat? Best part of the episode for me.

I really hope that isn't it for Tony. I don't mind the writers killing him off, but he can't go out like that. Christ, in the same damn episode, they even let a worthless tub of lard like Lynn die with some dignity.

As much as I love 24 this season, it's a little disconcerting that they've whacked long-time favorites Palmer, Michelle, and Tony all in a cheap, contrived manner seemingly for no other reason than shock value.

When did they announce that?

And yeah, Jack throttling the dimwit was awesome. I'm just sorry that Jack never decked him.

If Tony hit the fan like that then Fox can just sit and spin. Horrible way for a main character to go out (and really anticlimactic). That Henderson guy is a real asshat as said before.

I know you can't question the paper-think logic on this show but c'mon...the guy was in a fucking drug-induced coma. And then he just snaps out of it and has is able to overtake Tony? That was about the single stupidest moment I have yet to see in 24. I felt completely jipped.

Maybe Robocop was faking it.

That would seem to be the only logical explanation. Of course, if we can accept Jack's heart stopping twice and him managing to come back to life on both occasions, what Henderson did was nothing.

And yes, I'm pretty sure that was Desmond in the preview. Hopefully 24 actually resolves his character's fate and doesn't just have him run away.
