Can't wait. They set the standard pretty high again last week, hope this continues the pace.

Is this the season finally (part 1 or 2) or the mid-season finally?

I think it should be back in July. Same as last year.

If that happens, maybe we can have Baltar in charge of his own basestar:

I am really looking forward to this episode since the lines between good and evil are getting much more blurred. What really stinks is that I will be out of town at a conference for next weeks finale pt.2. I may have to take the laptop and avail myself of the I-tunes download....

I still doubt there'll be a "complete s2" set. But you'll see s2.5 on dvd before the s3 premiere, no doubt in my mind.

Late June or early July most likely. There were 3 months between "Pegasus" airing and the s2.0 set hitting shelves.

I'm sure they will have the 2.5 set, but I'm more sure that they'll also have a complete set available too.

edit: that is a pretty good picture of the happy couple in the op's post. so artsy.

I still say, any complete Season 2 set, will be the two halfsie's with a cardboard strip around them and shrinkwrapped, just my theory.

So did anyone actually watch? The Tyrol stuff seemed out of left field, but good to see Starbuck following thru on her promise. I am starting to get a little annoyed with how half the story seems to be left on the editing room floor. Wish we'd see extended eps on the DVDs.

Thought it was ok, but I thought it was odd that they sent that many raptors to the planet. I probably would only have sent maybe 1 or 2.

I don't know about that - I kinda like shows that don't end up showing you everything that happens step by step, and requires attention to keep up with the story.

As for Tyrol, he hasn't been in any episodes since the Pegasus incident, so we can't exactly say that it's "out from left field". It just shows that stuff is happening to the characters even if the spotlight isn't on them, and there's actually been a passage of episodes for the viewers for this to happen,.

If anything, it's still preferable than if Tyrol was fine in the previous episode, suddenly have problems in this one, and all of his problems are solved by the end of it. That would probably be "out from left field". Otherwise, even as of the last episode, I was wondering what happened to the chief...and wa-lah, the beginning of this episode shows us.

Gotta say that Dean Stockwell makes a kickass clergyman - hell, I'm not religious at all, but I liked the stuff he said in those few minutes he was on.

I agree. We're seeing more and more scenes in the "previously on BSG" segments that we never saw before. Had these scenes actually been present in the episodes they were presumably cut from, these particular story arcs would be that much stronger. Starbuck's desire to return to Caprica is the biggie here. There've been at least 2 or 3 scenes in the recaps segments that were filmed but cut from their respective episodes. We need extended episodes badly, because IMHO the show's being overedited this season.

I'm hoping part two will be exciting because the first half wasn't. I was kinda bored. More Six and Baltar scenes. Enough already. Didnt understand the Tyrol stuff but at least they went back to finally get the other survivors from Caprica.

How many people are going to be checking Doctor Who out after this ends it's season run?

I really enjoyed it. In fact, I was so into it I lost all track of time. When they flashed that "To Be Continued" on the TV, I am pretty sure I screamed "NOOO!" at the top of my lungs. It totally took me by surprise.

Oh, and Dean Stockwell was awesome.

I'm psyched for part 2 now, and also bummed because ya know there's gonna be a part 3 that we're gonna have to wait 4 months to see

I didn't expect the "psycho killer tyrol" to be there, but I could totally see it happening. I mean wouldn't it mess you up if the hot lady you were madly in love with was gunned down and then suddenly alive again and in love with someone else and there's nothing you can do about it? One of the last times we saw him he was looking at Helo and Sharon 2 and then just gave up and left, and I've been wondering ever since how he was really taking it... now I know.

On a side note, here's one thing I've always been wondering... why do they call the lady officers "sir"?

The opening had a really cool feel to it that reminded me of something. I realized it had the same tone as a bunch of Miami Vice episodes, with the continuous music and the way it was cut. I was half expecting 'Directed by Micheal Mann' to pop up.

Great ep.

That beating was pretty brutal..suprised they showed as much as the did. Good to see Dean Stockwell back doing sci-fi. My money is that he is a cylon.

I'm pretty sure Dean isn't a cylon. I'm a cylon and haven't seen him at any of the meetings.
