Newsradio.

And I'm pretty sure that these poll results would be different if this was 1997. ;)

Wait, there's actually HATRED for Gene Parmesan? That's one character that needed to be mentioned on that show at least another time.

I think Arrested Development as the sharper written show but the cast of Newsradio is what made it work so well.

I would agree with this. Newsradio shot for being nothing more than Cheers in a radio station while AD has pushed the limits of the 30 minute sitcom format during a time when those limits have been pushed well outside where they were during the golden age of sitcoms that Newsradio showed up on the tail end of. Given the sensibilities that Newsradio embraced that AD has flouted, it is remarkable that Newsradio is so funny.

Tough call; two shows I love. But Newsradio featured a guy who forces bimbos with bad bood jobs to eat sheep scrotums, so I'll pick AD in this battle.

p.s.: I have a feeling AD will do a lot better than NR in this poll since NR went off the air so long ago and they hardly play any reruns anymore. AD is still fresh in our minds.

as i was going to write. good job/point.

nothing about newsradio bothered me before Lovitz was casted. for the most part, i can't stand him seeing as how he has no talent (other than a pretty decent British accent on a few SNL skits).

i liked khandi alexander's character, but mainly because she was hot. grr. :) joe rogan didn't hurt or help the show, imo. my favorite characters were phil hartman, andy dick, and stephen root. i, too, found maura tierney attractive.

AD is a great show also. it's tough to pick. and because i'm typing everything in lower case, i'll leave it at that and decide who to vote on tomorrow.

I am definitely going with AD on this one. It is one of my all-time favorite shows, and I just adore the entire cast. Plus, I never really saw the appeal of Newsradio. When it was on, I watched some eps, but it never was something that I thought was all that great. I have often thought about revisiting it because I have a friend who loves it, but I have yet to do so.
