Hopefully, we can get back to a bit more serious/less campy story this week. :)

Phil L. 02-06-06 10:54 PM

Do we think Boa Vista might be lying to Delco about *not* being preggo?

Rypro 525 02-06-06 11:05 PM

Who the fuck was that doing the "Pulp Fiction" song remixed? (I know the song is old but don't know the name of it.

MrX 02-06-06 11:29 PM

So Wolf is back on the job?

 to Womens Beach Volleyball!

Cusm 02-07-06 09:12 AM

Was that the regular Pea's version or was it a remix?

RoyalTea 02-07-06 09:52 AM

what was up with that "minority report" style computer display as they were checking all the drivers license info?

I noticed that
There was just a recent series of articles in our area paper about the county crime lab and their lack of modern technology. Actually, they barely seem to really even have a crime lab. They don't even have running water in it. The only water in the building has to be obtained from the bathroom sink.

Every time my wife and I watch one of the CSI shows we always remark several times during each episode when the high tech stuff comes out that "I bet our town doesn't have that."

The CSI Effect is seriously helping to cause prosecutors in our area to lose cases.

It's something that's happening all over. Juries are expecting all this massive and flawless evidence for conviction.

On the other hand, some juries might be way too quick to accept evidence against a defendant on the basis of "CSI science."

Exactly. Juries expect DNA evidence, trace, fingerprints, enhanced video etc. etc. But what they generally get is one very shaky eyewitness, who more then likely has a criminal record themselves, and can often be intimidated by the defendant into recanting or not showing up to testify period. Defense attorneys can then quickly and easily poke holes in the prosecutor's case when that turns out to be just about all the evidence they have. Juries will then give the defendant the benefit of the doubt and vote to aquit.

Chew 02-08-06 06:15 AM

Well, I think the comment I made about campy didn't come true. :(

The slo-mo "key in the lock" scene provided plenty of campy humor.

That I can't answer. All I know is it's the first track of their new album and thats pretty much how it starts there too. Not a huge fan of them so.. Same song from the Best Buy commercial with them in it.

Thanks, I have never heard the full song or heard more than 30 seconds, so I did not know it opened and used a Dick Dale sample.

A couple of weeks ago they had a song by a Spanish group that I could swear was a cover of another song. It was the episode that opened with the party in the park and the white chick dancing that gets shot along with the gang banger.

You can never go wrong with Misty May in HD.

I watched that episode as well (i don't really watch, just as hd background filler since it looks so good). I remeber for Nip/Tuck teasers using that song as well.

The song is called "Más" by Kinky.

Nick Martin 02-08-06 09:19 PM

Finally - a CSI Miami thread that isn't all pointless bashing...I guess it's because of all the music related questions providing distraction from the episode.

That is it. Am I wrong or is this song heavily borrowed from the Chemical Brothers?

That's the feeling I got when I heard it. Everything is the same except the words are in Spanish.

Legolas 02-09-06 05:43 PM

So in regard to CSI and trials, will Numbers put a lot of pressure on the A students in math class to solve the world's problems with an algorithm?

Looks like they were trying to hint at who the "someone you trust" leak is in this ep.

Spoiler:
When H and Delko are talking and they do the quick flashes of Valera listening intently and looking nervous kinda.
