The Office (US) question....
I know a lot of us are fond of this show, but does anyone know if the British are watching this? The original version was wildly popular in Britain, but how is ours doing? I think both versions are great in their own right, and it is one of the few shows burning up precious HD space my DVR. I couldn't find any info on this and maybe our European friends can chime in. Reviews? Ratings?

Yes, Achtung answered this last week in the weekly thread.

In his latest podcast, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant both mention that they are big fans of the show and congratulated Carrell on his Golden Globe.
They also pondered the questions if it was the first time that two actors have won the same award for playing the same character in a TV show. |

Indeed I am an American who saw it there, and was slightly surprised they were airing it given how popular their version was. Of my British friends, none had seen it, but they said they were a bit interested in checking it out. All I can say is that the little blurb in "Time Out: London" said it was a witty, "Americanized" version of their hit, nothing else.

He has nothing to do with the show, aside from creating it. He has mentioned this in various articles.
