The UPN channel that we get in Canada is WSBK from Boston and tonight, they're airing a NCAA game instead of Veronica Mars.
They will run this episode on Saturday night at 10:00 pm.

I'm getting a game instead of VM as well, but it's Sunday before the episode airs. :(

FantasticVSDoom 01-25-06 07:45 AM

Thank God! It's been like what, 6 weeks since the last new episode?

movieking 01-25-06 11:48 AM

What? I am going to miss VM? THAT SUCKS! I have to consult my listings to see if I can get it on some affiliate station.

Adam Tyner 01-25-06 11:48 AM

Yeah. Last new one was "One Angry Veronica" on 12/7.

I just started watching this show on DVD. I'm renting them online and should receive the last three discs this week. I can't believe I missed the boat on this one. I know UPN is currently re-running the second season right now, but I don't have TIVO or a way to record the shows. Does anyone know when season two will be out on DVD?

riley_dude 01-25-06 07:00 PM

I just finished the season a few weeks ago joefrog and of course I wanted to jump right into two even though I had missed most of the repeats.
I caught up by reading episode synopis' as well so tonight is my first new episode in real time.

Jimmy James 01-25-06 08:58 PM

I'm very pleased with myself because I had most of the things happening pegged from the start. In particular, I figured out why Celeste would hire the likes of Vinny and why it would be so important to get Lamb to drive into Mexico to check something out.

Patman 01-25-06 09:02 PM

Wow, it was great to finally see a new episode of VM tonight. Loved the cat-n-mouse games between VM, the FBI, Lamb, and the other P.I.

Keith was livid for what VM did to him. That had to crush her.

The fortune "True Love Stories Never Have Endings" also had the Lost numbers on it (I think).

That's probably what I'll have to do. Watched more of first season tonight though.

This season has turned into one big I don't Care. I didn't care about anything that happened in this episode. One good scene with Keith and that's it. I was more interested in watching KATH AND KIM than this episode. Season 1 was so fantastic. What happened??

Charlie Goose 01-25-06 11:45 PM

I was half asleep toward the end, so I'm not exactly sure what happened. Who were the two people in the pickup with Duncan in Mexico? Veronica was in on the whole setup?

A competing PI who was in a previous ep and I think it was his girlfriend.

Jimmy James 01-26-06 01:27 AM

The other person was Celeste's assistant.

Have to admit, this episode was a little predictable in its unpredictability. However, if you recall, Season 1 also had a lull mid-season until the main storyline picked up again 3/4 of the way through. Keep the faith - when VM returns to the school bus storyline, it'll get good.

Good call. I didn't realize that it was her. It wasn't the very best VM ep, but I was just so happy to get a new one that I really didn't care too much. I liked Lucy Lawless' character in the ep. She could be a good foil for Veronica. What the fortune cookie says aside, this sure sets up Veronica and Logan possibly getting back together.

I do agree slightly with the above poster that this season has a slight "who cares" feel to it. I don't feel too invested in the baby storyline. I'm intrigued by the Logan/Weevil plot, but it just hasn't gotten far enough along to really rope me in. And now we have this new Wallace story thrown at us. While I have no doubt that all these storylines will end up being resolved in high fashion by the end of the season, it does seem to be a bit busy this season. And none of this even includes the actual bus investigation. A lot of plot threads.

FantasticVSDoom 01-26-06 07:40 AM

I think its a case where the 1st season was so good, that can you really top it? I agree that this isnt as good as the first season but imo, that was something new and fresh and its hard to repeat. And its still better than anything else on network television right now. I still really like the characters, and there are some story lines that are interesting and we should just wait and see where they go with it. I think we will be pleasantly surprised by the end.

Patman 01-26-06 07:50 AM

I still feel good about watching (in HDTV) VM in real time vs. Lost, so it's all good for me.

Oh, that goofball PI. Why was he helping, for money?

I've got to learn not to lay down on the couch while watching TV. I fall right asleep, like an infant.

wmansir 01-26-06 08:49 AM

Ducan handed him some cash when he picked him up and the PI said something about Ducan paying better than his mom. I'm not sure if Celeste's assistant was suppose to be a clue that Celeste was in on the whole thing, or Duncan paid her off too. I didn't even recognizer, but now I understand why they put her in the "previously on" segment.

Overall the episode moved pretty slow, but it was good to ger some new veronica. I agree that this season isn't as engaging overall as the 1st. Personally I think it's a case of more is less, there are just too many season long story archs to really be engaged in them all. If they try to save the conclusion of each one until the end of the season then I can't imagine how much of a cluster-F the last episode will be.
