So, I'm the only guy loving E-Ring still?

I definately enjoy this show. One of my top 5 currently. But there never seems to be a thread. :(

Anyone else still enjoying it?

Red Dog 01-20-06 12:43 PM

I gave it up after a few episodes. Had 2 or 3 in the DVR and just deleted them. If they repeat it during the summer (if it survives cancellation), I might watch it.

Chew 01-20-06 12:44 PM

I think I lasted 2 episodes. There hasn't been any solid positive buzz to make me regret that choice.

IamFlip 01-20-06 01:36 PM

I am currently enjpying it, too, especially now that have more action sequence than before. The last 2 episodes were pretty good.

Also, I like that Maj. Tisnewski may end up to be a Squadron Commander and will be working full-time on the field.

Flave 01-20-06 01:38 PM

You mean that weekly 60-minute ad for the Bush Administration? People actually watch 60-minute ads!?

Exactly what happened to me... now that The Shield and 24 are back on, I'm glad I dumped it. Wasn't interesting enough to take up that much space when I have other things I wanted to watch. If they rerun it, I'll watch it.

Jadzia 01-20-06 03:15 PM

I still watch it. I do still have the last 2 eps sitting in my Tivo. It's not a show I immediately watch, but I do like it.

I kind of hated it at first, but something about it is entertaining.

Deftones 01-20-06 06:02 PM

Yeah. I'm still watching it. Interesting angle by JT gunning for the promo, he'll likely see alot more field special ops.

Manco 01-20-06 06:10 PM

I didn't like this show at first but it has grown on me. It almost seems like they read this board as they've changed some stuff they people around here have complained about.

Got rid of the "signing off on orders" montage, somewhat better dialogue, a little more action. They even got rid of the girlfriend who I didn't like.

So...back to Commander in Chief?

I guess I don't see it as having anything to do with Bush, unless you simply equate Bush as not liking terrorists. I suppose that could bother some people. -wink-

Jadzia 01-20-06 07:47 PM

Actually the show could be seen as being somewhat anti-Bush administration, as Tisnewski always seems to be fighting with the higher-ups to do his job.

ShallowHal 01-20-06 08:00 PM

Benjamin Bratt just doesn't seem to pick good projects. -other-

Not a threadcrap! I'm crapping on his career.

mikehunt 01-20-06 08:29 PM

I watch it

That has been my thought. It is anti-bureaucracy and anti "do what is best politically."

I don't think the feel of the show would change no matter who was president.

Patman 01-21-06 06:32 AM

Does the brunette hottie girlfriend from the 1st episode show up in later episodes, or was that a one and done?

nemein 01-21-06 08:58 AM

I still like it but I don't expect it to last long.

I'll say she's done.

Spoiler:
She died

But we didn't see her flatline, etc. We assume she died. The major will get involved with Kelly, and then the old gf will be spotted undercover on an assignment.
-pray-

Chauzer 01-21-06 10:37 PM

i wouldnt say top 5, but i enjoy it a lot.. have seen every episode..

are there plans on cancelling it or ending it after this season?? b/c after this week's episode looks like JT's gonna go back on the front line and wont be at the pentagon anymore?

I agree, espicaially in the first few episodes when they passed around the form for the 100 signitures to get a mission approved.

I watch this show each week, but I also have a feeling it won't see a second season, which would be unfortunate.

nemein 02-25-06 01:43 PM

Is this still on? I know the last couple of weeks it's been preempted by the Olympics, but they are over this week and I don't see a listing for it...

pilot 02-25-06 03:42 PM

epguides.com lists the next new episode march 8th, with four more following that with no dates as of yet..nbc's website though says there's no scheduled next episode, though that could change ...

kvrdave 02-25-06 05:40 PM

Yeah, tv.com has been showing about the same for Bones and Numb3rs. I might be one of the few that still love those shows.
