I can't seem to get into SG-1 since I am so far behind but I absolutely love Atlantis since I started watching it from day 1.

Having said that I thought the most recent Atlantis episode with McKay stuck in the puddle jumper underwater was a little boring.

Well, last night I saw the ending of season 2 on the TMN...and I must say that I am a bit disappointed in season 2. The ending was expected.... I just hope that SG-1 will be better.

Anyway, here are my best episodes of the season:
Duet
Condemed
Aurora
Epiphinay
Micheal

Spoiler:
If they actually do a full-blown crossover with SG1 to start the next season, that'll make the finale better for me. I'm betting "Michael" will end up helping, especially since he nearly disappeared for the last few segments of the episode.

At least it'll give the show a chance to release a sleeker looking, tricked out new ship

I had the same reaction. I was holy shit they destroyed Prometus!

I expect in a couple of episodes to here that the replacement is done and they were lucky it was x% done when it was destroyed.

SGA: IMO this one was boring like last week. Was good to see Peter Woodward.

My thought's exactly. SG-1 was awesome and intense and despite my love for Peter Woodward, Atlantis was just bad. I'm guessing any preview with the phrase babe magnet is a clue that things will not go well.

After a few drab episodes that was one of the best SG-1 episodes I have seen in a while. Lots of action and stuff I didnt think would happen.

Spoiler:
Apparently next week a new Deadalus-class ship dubbed the Odyssey will be making its debut, replacing the Prometheus

Completely unexpected that the ship would be destroyed. Hopefully, this shows both them and the Asgard that better offensive weapons are needed on both earth ships. Those missles don't do squat against any of their enemies.

I really enjoyed this week's SG-1. Nice how it brought back some familiar faces, and yet was a very nice standalone.

Lots of other people seem to be complaining about the Atlantis episode, but I thought it was pretty good. By far not the best ep of Atlantis I've seen, but it was a nice standalone. Didn't see the twist coming myself. HAWT chick though.

Question: is an Asgard required on each of their ships to do whatever it is they do? We didn't see one on Promethus (which doesn't mean there wasn't one).

Not sure. I was under the impression that there is one on Promethius because it is such a radically different ship and Pegasus, which was the first earth ship and more rudamentary.

Did I miss the part where they said they were building another SG1 ship? Blow it up one week, a new one is there the next. It makes the previous episode less dramactic if there isn't any kind of gap in ship availability.

I thought it was pretty cheap. They made it seem like these ships were special and not to easy to come by. Then they come around and pull one out their ass right when they need it the most.

But where?

It would be nice to hear some mention of such in the show. Building a starship of that scale must be all sorts of interesting (based on seeing the complexity of modern ships or aircraft... ). Is everyone on Earth involved or just the US?

Otherwise, nice to see a new ship. I was wondering how Earth would get by with just one ship. Also, I'd like to see some smaller ships at some point. They could be doing all sorts of local Solar System exploration by now.

Ciao,
Smithsguy

I agree. After such a dramatic event, it was a pretty lame follow-up.

Also, I really think they should reveal to the planet now the existence of the Stargate. I mean, think about it. "So, the majority of the galaxy was ruled by an evil race of symbiotic snakes, but we overthrew them and liberated countless worlds. Also, we're allied with an extremely advanced alien race, and through our travels we've discovered laser weaponry, teleportation, and hyperdrive technologies. Right now we're at war with aliens from another galaxy, but we've already figured out how to defeat their frontline soldiers."

Not such a bad resume there.

Prometheus was the original ship. Daedalus (sp?) was the newer one. Pegasus is the galaxy where Atlantis is located.

The killer alien bugs on SG-1 were great. Really did nnjoy that episode.

/Atlantis just seemed blah. I really do try, but I can't get into that show.
