Invasion- 1/11/2006

Wow. That was a great episode. Nothing happened at all, then the past 2 episodes things rocket forward.

Definitely glad I stuck with the show.

I was totally blown away by these last two eps.

I didn't really like Mariel to much, but she is beginning to be a much more interesting character.

Tom is just evil.

It's just a shame it took them 8 episodes to really get the ball rolling.

Anyhow, it's shaping up to a more exciting remainder of the season.

Yeah, but I guess the first 8 episode did a great job of setting up the characters. It was tough to watch at times, but I am interested and do care about the characters and want to see what happens with them now.

I'm loving Invasion. Finally this show is living up to all the pre-season hype.

I'm glad they're finally moving the plot forward. It will be interesting to see where it goes.

It seems there is no going back now. The main characters are in the thick of it and it seems it will be all out action and suspense from this point. I am interested to find out how they will string it for the remainder of the season? Does the invasion shift to more action at this point? It seems now it will be a matter of cat and mouse. Chasing the aliens, chasing the humans, hopefully it does not get too redundant.
I hate the sheriff...I guess that's a testament to casting.

What was the purpose of swim girl? If that wasn't a gratuitous male fantasy I don't know what is. "Hi would you like to bathe with me?" is her version of a polite greeting.
By the by I am not complaining...truthfully...the liberal use of wifebeaters have kept me from tuning out during the more snail-paced episodes.
ahhhh the wifebeater, southern rock's* gift to humanity.

*Don't really know the origin of wifebeaters as fashion

Should I even bother watching the prior 5-6 episodes or just start with last night's and the one prior to that. I have a major Tivo catch-up issue and was thinking of dropping this all together, but maybe I can just skip 5 or so episodes.

How about finding out that she (Nicole Garza) has an identical twin sister http://us.imdb.com/name/nm1377442/ Guess they are the double mint twins from one of the ads a few months back..

anyways.. I think the point of the girl was to show that there are people outside of the small town who have been effected in Florida also? So it's more wide spread of a problem now for that area? Just a guess on my part. Might of been just to make a good promo of her swimming around.

Man I'm glad i stuck through the slow part, cause it's getting pretty damn good now.

Haha. Same here.

...and a big yummy to Nicole Garza.

I'm glad I stuck it out too.

Spoiler:
On the evil sheriff, did anyone find it interesting that on one hand he seems totally evil, but then there are strange touches like where he seemed genuinely surprised and concerned when his deputy was dragged out into the water. I think we may see him not being so evil.

I've been watching every episode, and agree the last two eps were top notch. It is definitely picking up steam, and I want to see the next episode.
Like I said in the Surface thread, I can't believe these girls are throwing themselves as these teen boys, and they're turning them down.

Ditto for glad things are finally moving along faster.

I used to watch this show in the background whilst exercising or playing pool

Now i will watch it properly

daugter is such a cutie and bikini babe just needed a good going over.

Loved the scene with the survivors beating down the wife beater, that was cool

"In some cases, there are two somebodies for one person. I like to call that 'The Jackpot.'"

The whole time during that scene, I was thinking "You better not pull a Miles! Get the hell in that bathtub right now, you moron!" Thankfully, we were not let down.
