Boston Legal - 1/10/06

Surprised there wasn't already a thread.

I was when Shatner flipped open his cell phone communicator-style and the phone even made the Star Trek communicator sound effect. Too funny.

The rest of the episode was kind of meh. It was pretty obvious that the one lawyer was going to go postal once he failed to make partner.

It was nice seeing Michael J. Fox as a guest star, but his storyline was pretty boring.

My hard drive with my OS died, so I was in fully recovery mode, else, I would have started this thread.

I loved Alan taking Shirley down a peg or two. When Alan gets ornery, he's much more fun to watch. Too bad Hands had to go schizo.

I liked how Denny just gave Alan the folder after Shirley wouldn't give it to him, then at the meeting everyone had a folder in front of them except Denny

Didn't notice the Star Trek cell phone connection. Wonder how many other people did.

I loved the initial reaction on Denny/s face when Jerry went crazy. Something like, come on, I'm eating my cake now.

Brad's 'thank you... milord?' was good too.

Agree Fox's character storyline is boring.

Alan was excellent though.

I was laughing my ass off.

Perhaps Alan and Jerry can open up their own law firm. Call it "Shore Hands".

Man, I remember thinking how hot Joanna Cassidy looked in Blade Runner. Now? ::shudder::

LOVED the episode. Easily my favorite of the season. (Strangely enough, this one wasn't written by DEK and lacked any brow-beating political views. Coincidence?) The Alan / Shirley exchange was great and they finally are retuning to the Alan I like to watch, the one who in no way resembles Bobby Donnell from The Practice. Yes the freak-out was too predictable, but I loved how Hands went about trying to find legal precedent to make the contract hold up
As far as Michael J Fox's role, I don't care if the story line isn't much -- just to see him on TV is enough for me. Poor guy, his face is sorta frozen now; he looked sick, but not like a cancer patient. Anyway, I'll enjoy the story arc.

And Rogue, I take it you don't watch Six Feet Under? Joanna was a regular on that show, and played exactly the same character you saw last night. C'mon lady, stretch a little.

Thats very interesting. While watching it I was thinking how great it was to not have the preachy crap thrown in. Makes a lot more sense that it was written by someone else. Was even more relieved that the drug testing storyline didn't turn into some kind of rant.

Some very funny stuff with Denny in this one as well. Also loved how the camera occasionally kept focusing on other character's hands at random.

Hope they don't let Denny get married, but another great episode.
