Oh, Glorious Day!!!!

And I am proud to say that my wife has finally made Scrubs must-see-tv, too. She wouldn't watch it the first few seasons, but she watched it off and on last season and then watched the first two seasons w/ me on DVD - now she's hooked and can't wait for tonight either!

I'm so glad Scrubs is back! Does anyone know if it's in HD? I just got an HDTiVo and would love to "stretch it's legs."

According to nbc.com, there are two new episodes on tonight. Cool!

Sadly, nbc.com also answered my HD question. No HD Scrubs.

That's really strange. Any reason? So many of their shows are now.

I really can't answer that question. I wish it was in HD. Most prime-time non-reality, non-news shows are in HD now. From NBC's website:

What shows does NBC currently broadcast in high-definition?

Crossing Jordan, ER, Joey, Las Vegas, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Medium, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The West Wing are currently broadcast in HDTV. Occasionally, theatrical films and made-for-TV movies are also broadcast in the high-definition format.
However, My Name is Earl and The Office are listed on their weekly schedule as being in HD as well, even though they're not listed above.

Don't blame NBC for the non-HD Scrubs - blame the damn Mouse House. Cheap bastards.

So, I haven't seen anything from seasons 3 or 4 (I've actually only seen the show on DVD). Am I going to be completely lost if I try jumping into new episodes now?

I wouldn't think so. The only character progressions that are different as far as I recall are:

Spoiler:
JD, et al no longer residents but full fledged doctors now.
Turk & Carla are married.
I think JD moved out of the apartment finally, but may have moved back? I can't remember.
Elliot has taken a position at a different hospital (S4 finale).
