OMG, it's finally back!! In your face!!!

p.s.: Turk is still just a resident. Elliott's doing a fellowship apparently. JD's the only actual attending doctor.

And Jordan isn't - Christa Miller Lawrence looks like she went to a botox-party a day or two before filming started.

That was Alexander Gaberman, who played "James" on Bill Lawrence's earlier show Spin City.

Funny stuff, but it just didn't feel like Scrubs to me -- particularly the first episode. Maybe it's because I just watched all of Season 2 over the span of a week and a half. The tone seemed different somehow, and some of the jokes (like the backpack) didn't seem like Scrubs humor to me.

I'm watching it again w/ my wife and I just realized that one of the interns, Keith, was on the late/great ABC show 10-8 a couple of years ago. Just checked - his name is Travis Schuldt.

JasonF - the backpack stuff seemed out of place to me, too. Episode 2 was much more in form than Ep. 1.

It took me a while to get used to JD as a doctor and not an intern/resident. The second episode seemed to flow better. Looks like Elliot will be back at Sacred Heart soon.

I haven't watched Scrubs snce the epsiode where Cox's back hurt was his wife was horny.

The funniest thing to me was the Janitor's "how-do-I-annoy-him-when-I-can't-be-around-him" full-sized JD cut-out pranks.

That and the ketchup scene.

At first I was rather disappointed. We were about 20 mins into the first episode before I had a laugh out loud moment.
Second episode was much better. The inter-racial siamese twin doctors was pretty funny.

Yeah, same here. I've never watched a season of anything that fast.

What were the Todd's names for the nurses' boobs?

Loved it, but I agree about the first ep being a little off with the Keith POV and the backpack gag. The Man Cards and the JD stand-ins all made up for it though. And yes, Elliott is looking mighty fine.

Second episode was much, much better. Absolutely loved the multi-ethnic-siamese-twin-doctors bit. And I believe 3 of the boobs' names were Tina, Marge, and Sloppy.

Internal Medicine residencies last three years (both JD and Elliott took an extra year as chief resident for S4). Surgical residencies are at least five years for general surgery, but can go two or three more years in subspecialties. I'm not sure what fellowship Elliott was doing, but they usually last one to three years. I thought the way they got her out of it was just silly (and not in the usually good Scrubs sense). Too bad they didn't have her find that this was not what she wanted to do with the rest of her life (which would have been a lot more believable than having her partner cure OI in a couple of days). With that glaring exception, I like how they get the time frames right, as opposed to St Elsewhere which took six years to graduate the interns or ER which plays with the time frames somewhat.

Yeah, I don't know. Neither of the eps were Scrubs in top form. It all just seemed too forced. This is coming from a huge Scrubs fan since day one.

It was like they were going down a checklist of what people expect in scrubs except it wasn't really funny. Were there any major changes to the team? It seemed like something was off. I hope it is just a fluke.

Multi-Ethnic Siamese Twin Doctors was good, but World's Most Giant Doctor is still the best.

I hope I wasn't the only person to yell "Not Moby!" when we first got a look at crazy Charlie.

I'm new to this show. I got a "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" vibe while watching it. Is it just me? I think it was the zingy sound effects and hyper-actions going on.

"Dr. Cox said having a kid is like raising a dog that slowly learns to speak."
"awesome."

JD doing his Turk impression was priceless. Especially when he tried it and messed up...

Not the best episodes - but still nothing to talk trash about. Scrubs is still the funniest show on TV (now that AD is headed out the door).

Carla - "Do you think I want to sit here and listen to the three of you whine about your jobs for the rest of my life? Who am I kidding? It's like crack to me."

The dude harrassing Elliott was pretty funny - like the way he came down from the top of the elivator.

"That's a guy in a bald-cap."
