Did you even try looking at nbc.com? Probably her... her last initial is "C" http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/themodels/lindsay_c/ Another model, Leyla, was featured on WWE shows earlier this year http://www.wwe.com/superstars/2005di...leyla/profile/ http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/themodels/leyla/ |
I fell asleep watching last night's ep.
At least we are starting fresh with a new contestant tonight. ;) |
Sort of surprising given some of the reactions in here, but the ratings have steadily risen each night of this. I for one actually enjoy the show. Sure there's not much to it, but that's kind of the beauty of it for me. Sure it can drag on at times, but that's what a VCR/DVR is for. :)
|
I have been enjoying it mainly because there's nothing else on besides repeats, and its perfect for brain-dead viewing in the evening when you want something you can have on in the background, while you are wrapping presents or doing your holiday baking. Or as Patman would say, folding clothes.

About Howie: Notice that he doesn't shake hands with anyone? He's supposedly a major germophobe. And that dubbing is extremely clumsy.
|
That lady from Texas was a cheerleader. You could totally tell!
Way to go Guillermo! |
That's totally retarded he doesn't shake hands with anyone. That should be like prerequisite for being a game show host. As for the show it self, it can't be all that bad since it has in aired in 34 countries before coming to the US. For me it's like Who Want's To Be A Millionaire in how it doesn't get exciting until much later into the game when the big money is at stake.

I couldn't believe it went on for an hour, how does anyone turn down so much money with so little? At any rate, I watched again last night and the guy took that $99K!
I wonder how long this strange show will last...not really |
I like watching this. I have it on in the background while I do other things on my computer. I wouldn't sit down and watch this solely though.
|
How, didn't know that about Howie's germophobia, but huh...

I think they give people going on this show a 8th grade level math quiz. If they pass, they can't go on.

Looks like we got a much more boring version of this show than other countries have. I just saw this link discussing the Australian version on another board:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~powney/...nodeal2003.htm That version is more about going against other contestants, and having to answer some questions (shocking!). |
Skipped it last night, but I'll probably watch tonight. I can imagine how nerve-wracking it is to have an unknown amount and trying to decide to take the big money offer or try for even bigger money. At least one of those cases should be filled with killer bees or diarrhea or something like that.

I "missed" last night's show, since Tivo decided to record a repeat of Everybody Hates Chris on my other tuner.
Could someone please recap what hapened? Any big money deals? |
They started off with a new contestant, a 2nd grade teacher from Devine, TX that brought her mom, uncle/principal/pastor, her best friend and almost her entire class.
At one point she was offered $275,000 for her case (the most that has ever been offered by the Banker), she 'no deal'ed it and picked the $500,000 case so her next offer dropped to $269,000 and she took that deal with only 3(?) cases left. On a whim, Howie asked her what her next case would have been and she choose the one that $1M in it and then they revealed her case to have only $500 in it. Pretty good deal. Then some lady named Venus took the stag and within 11 selection, removed most of the right hand column. Before Howie gave her her deal for the case (after offering/declining $9,000 the first go 'round) he said we'd find out tomorrow. That's about it. |
WHat happened to the last woman from Friday night? The one with the 3 sisters. I fell asleep after she cleared most of the right side.

My VCR happened to tape the school teacher episode, and though she had that nervous Molly Shannon energy (though much cuter, nice bod), I kept watching this show about landmines and money and the odds. Can't say I'll be back when it's back, though.
And yes, I was folding laundry when I watched my accidental Thursday night recording of it! |
If anyone cares Deal or No Deal is back on again this week.
|
Tonight's was the first episode I've ever seen. Man this game is kinda fun. The contestant got really lucky, was down to 2 cases, and both of those had 6 figures in them. The case that he chose at the beginning had (I think) 25 dollars. He sold that case for $350K+. Very fun game to watch.
|
Never seen the show before,so I decided to check it out. It's a pretty fun show.
