Our long national nightmare is over.

Tom: So, Ashly, how do you feel about your experience on the show.
Ashly: Well, I --
Tom: Hey, look ... another clip!

I'm just baffled... what kind of impression was P trying to do?

Tony Montana - Scarface

big whoppa 01-27-06 09:20 PM

zuffy 01-27-06 09:38 PM

My God is Stacy friggin HOT HOT HOT. Those legs

William Fuld 01-27-06 10:47 PM

Keep your chin up, clsmooth71.

Ranger 01-27-06 11:46 PM

Ashly and P Miller seemed relieved that it was finally over.

It should be all uphill from there. Glad that George didn't get cut this week.

HE Pennypacker 01-28-06 01:26 AM

Awww, no more Ashly:(

She BETTER be back next season AND paired up with a decent performer.

jarofclay73 01-28-06 06:34 AM

I'm just glad Tia and Maksim didn't get cut. That would've been worse than Giselle getting the boot.

I know George is really popular and he's a really funny guy, but if he doesn't do something revolutionary, I think he's the next to go. After that, Jerry Rice needs to pick it up a bit otherwise he's Fried Rice for the week after.

Of course, any bad performance by Tia or Lisa could get them the boot as well.

The 2 celebrities who've had the edge since Day 1 are Stacey Keibler and Drew Lachey. I think Stacey got a lower score only because Drew's dance had that "hot and hip" factor. Elegance and grace I think can't outscore "hot and hip" at least in this show.

So, I'm glad everyone's doing the same dance next week, the SAMBA, so it should be easier to judge.

You know what I don't like about this show?
It's not costing ABC a dime*.
They're getting huge ratings and not one person is getting a dime.
There is no prize .. just a $200.00 trophy.
If ABC had any class they would make a huge donation to the
winner's favorite charity. In fact, they should make a donation to
everyone's charity.. the winner's getting the most.

*I'm sure that professional dancers are getting paid ..
and the judges.. but there is no prize. No million dollar recording contract,
no million dollar check. Nothing.

I'm pretty sure the production costs on this show are pretty steep. And I'm almost positive everyone involved is getting paid really well, from the participants to the performers (Pussycat Dolls, the breakdancers, etc.).

But I think a donation to charity would be a great addition to the show.

Patman 01-28-06 09:33 AM

I think Jerry Rice really wants the franchise tag.

As the statement above about costs, I guess they didn't revise things from the first season when they didn't realize how big this show was going to get. Besides, these D-list celebrities are supposed to be doing it for the enjoyment rather than the money. Although, it would be cool for ABC to donate a half a mill to the winner's charity.

Good one. :) I thought he was much better this week than last. I hope he keeps getting better. I only decided to give this show a chance to see him. Imagine my surprise to see how fun it is. I wish I had watched the first.

Ranger 02-02-06 09:23 PM

Bumping this up for week five.

I thought Lisa/Louis and Drew/Cheryl were the best ones this week. George hasn't impressed me for the last couple weeks (although the zorro bit was funny) and Jerry keeps improving so I think George will be the one cut this week.

cmleidi 02-02-06 10:45 PM

Carrie's comments about Lisa and Louis's samba were absurd. Does she even know what a samba is? And how could Drew and his teammate get three nines when his posture is so bad? If that had been another couple, they would have been penalized. The judging reminds me of when I used to figure skating.

big whoppa 02-03-06 01:28 AM

George is lacking in the footwork dept. He should be cut. Jerry Rice was second worse though it was entertaining.

movieking 02-03-06 04:51 AM

How was Stacey last night?

Patman 02-03-06 06:05 AM

Stacy and Tony started the show off and totally nailed their samba and were rewarded with a combined score of 30 out of 30!!!

movieking 02-03-06 06:41 AM

Did the teams have to do two dances last night? I saw a clip over Stacey after the samba, and the reporter said that they had to get ready for the second dance, the salsa. If they did two dances, were they both scored?

Patman 02-03-06 06:59 AM

The salsa was a group dance, so no individual scores were given, but Carrie and the older judge Len liked Cheryl and Drew's salsa the best (Carrie also liked Lisa and Louie's salsa on par with C&D). Bruno is still very much in love with Stacy's long legs, commenting on them once again after the group salsa.

Tommy Ceez 02-03-06 07:31 AM

Sad thing about Stacy is that after this show she's probably DYING to leave the WWF, but McMahon probably OWNES her for another 10 years-

movieking 02-03-06 07:45 AM

If it can benefit him in any way, he will let her do outside projects as long as she still comes back for major PPVs.
