South Park - "Bloody Mary" 12/7/05

Spoiler:
Stan is embarrassed in front of his friends when his dad gets pulled over for drunk driving.

I wonder if this will be a Christmas episode.

I hope so - I still yearn to wash the taste of last season's "Woodland Critter Christmas" out of my mouth.

I imagine there'll be some sort of tie in with the whole "Say Bloody Mary three times in the mirror" thing.

I liked the Woodland Critter Christmas episode last year, more so than the previous year's trip to Canada or the Commando Jesus from the year before. Still, nothing tops the Mr. Hanky Christmas Special.

Who wants to bet we'll hear Randy screaming out, "I thought this was America?"

Even the well-deserved bitchslap at AA did not save that ep.

Showing the early eps in the time slot just before shows how bad SP has become. I mean, come on... can anyone really say that this was funnier than Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride?

Wow, I've never seen a SP episode that had absolutely no laughs in it until tonight.

wasn't there a rumor about a year or two ago that south park was finished? but then they announced there would be more seasons?

sounds like these last episodes might be all the leftover ideas that trey and matt never thought were good enough for previous seasons.

I noticed that when randy gets into the car to go see the statute, during the first scene you can see an alien in the background behind the car, it doesn't last very long.

Is anyone else sick of the inconsistency in the voices? Geez...so annoying.

Anyone that's ever been pulled over & had to perform a field sobriaty test would find a number of things funny about this one... Yup, I was laughing.

And apparently I'm the only one...

This has been a seriously disappointing string of episodes we've had lately in this batch of new ones.

They better redeem themselves by breaking out Mr. Hankey next week.

Not very funny, but I give it an A for social commentary. My favorite line:

Stan: No, cancer is a disease, you drink too much.

I didn't really like this show. Someone like Stan's dad may not be an alcoholic, but there are real alcoholics and they do have serious problems.

But I guess it's easier to say "Stop drinking!" than to acknowledge things like that.

I decided to record this and watch Alias instead, so I haven't seen it yet. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

The commercial said this was the season finale so i don't thing there is going to be anymore eps anytime soon?

Once again, I'm in the minority that liked it.
