when they finally revealed last episode that she was actually retarded, it was such a weak payoff. Turned out this whole episode was the payoff, and the jokes were much funnier when we were in on knowing her condition. It was a redeeming episode for Charlize's entire run. Eating the plastic fruit had me rolling.

Another great inside joke. Tony "Buster" Hale originally did the VW Mr. Roboto commercial.

I found the fat joke funnier... But if I'm wrong, it's still a good throw away.
I found it a very funny episode. GREAT ending! Loved the Monster cameo. And Super Dave firing himself was gold... And still have no idea why they would cancel it... I know Jack, nobody's watching.

Great episode, as always. Michael getting hit by Mary Poppins Sharri Bobbins was entirely predictable and entirely hilarious.
Does anyone still have this episode on TiVo? I accidentally deleted it, but I meant to go back and see who the advertisers were so I could write them letters to thank them for supporting the show while bragging about my high income and my attractive demographic.

I loved the (paraphrased):
"He's going to have sex with her."
"I have a problem with that."
Ron Howard: "So do I!"
I always love it when Howard makes comments about the episode. Like, in regards to Anyyong (spelling?) "Wait for it..."

Man, after seeing the show awkwardly cut around Theron's character so as not to make her retardation too obvious we finally get a totally Rita episode and Theron was fantastic--hilarious and cute to boot. It's a shame she is leaving right when she gets so much comedic freedom from the plot.

Once again I prepped myself for tonight by watching the last 2 episodes (the special hour last month). I firmly believe that this show is better on 2nd viewing (almost pissed myself again on the jetpack instruction DVD). Tonight was great. I've accepted that the end is near, and am thankful I will always have DVDs of the first 2 seasons (and there better be a 3rd!) to keep me happy.

This episode was brilliant on so many levels. I absolutely loved it. Inside and outside jokes everywhere, and the best last 15 seconds of any show I have seen in a long, long time.

It really doesn't matter if we watch or not. There is no way for them to know whether we watch, only those nielsons. That being said I did watch and continue to love this show. Kinda sad to see this hour of good tv get canceled.
