" Lost Stars Busted for DUI" sounds like a good name for a reality series.

Decker 12-03-05 09:53 PM

It's a shame that people in this country don't get more outraged by DUIs. It's so dangerous and so avoidable. I spent half my high school and all my college vacations drunk in Kailua and yet I never got stopped for DUI. Know why? I never drove home. And my friend's house was probably not as fancy as any Lost cast member's. And if they didn't want to do that, I bet both Rodriguez and Watros could have afforded the cab fare (or split it  )

Still, if nothing else, this unfortunate incident did manage to spark the Best. Lost. Thread. EVER.

Rodriguez was on Howard Stern a couple of years ago, and she came off as a real asshole. I hope she played her little tough girl routine with the cops, and they tasered her ass.

Well, all I'm saying is what I got is just rumor. It's actually second or third hand information.

This part is total speculation. My guess though is that when one of the girls got stopped, it took another officer to track down the other girl and that's why there's a time discrepancy. I got money that Rodriguez didn't stop for the first cop but got caught by a second cop.

By the way, I just found out that the chicken place that Hurley worked at is a Popeye's right in my neighborhood. And the convenience store that Hurley won the lottery at is right next door to that Popeye's. The LOST directors do a really good job not giving away that the flashback scenes are filmed in Hawaii.

Too bad the credits give it away at the end of every episode.

... Sometimes. I liked how a couple of weeks ago A-L and her partner were cruising through "Westwood" when a distinctive rainbow-striped Hawaiian "The Bus" passed them.

Both are shit actors, yep I'm glad this happened. The sooner they get off the show the better.

This is the first I've heard complaints about Watros. What do you think is so bad about her acting? Personally, there really hasn't been that much of her character to judge her acting chops, but her acting has been competent enough up until now.

In the Lost Universe, maybe West Hollywood has its own bus system.

Headline on the Honolulu Star-Bulletin today:

<a href="http://starbulletin.com/2005/12/14/news/story01.html">"Lost" actors have a hard time finding the brake</a>

You know, I don't appreciate the fact that they're making my roads unsafe.

Just another thing to add to the list of why I hate Monaghan. Dumb little hobbit.

movieking 12-14-05 06:38 PM

It's odd that so many of them have been busted....

I think I've heard a lot of natives don't really appreciate the island being "taken over" by Hollywood...is this the case? I know it'd kind of annoy me.

Ranger 12-14-05 08:52 PM

I'd say it's more because they're making enough money not to care about tickets.

And they also may have been driving through some gated communities where security is very tight.

Big Boy Laroux 12-15-05 09:33 AM

damn, sayid! 70 in a 35?

As opposed to being taken over by tourists?

devilshalo 12-15-05 12:11 PM

I can certainly understand the speeding issue. Having lived in Southern California and driving here is quite a bit different from driving in Hawaii.

The 65 speed limit in CA is certainly the minimum on an open highway and I've had CHP pass me by while I was doing 80mph. So to be used to that and moving to Hawaii where the speed MAXIMUM is 55mph takes a little getting used to.

Yeah, doesn't really make much sense to me, but I'm pretty sure I've heard the complaint before.

No kidding. I went over there in March and hated driving as the speed limits are so low. 55 on the interstates (or whatever you want to call H1, 2 and 3) and ridculously low on some of the 2 lane roads.

Hell, I had a hard enough time when I moved away from WV where it's 55 on pretty much all 2 lane roads, 65 on the free ways and 70 on the Interstates to MD where they're all about 10MPH lower.

Fok 12-15-05 02:15 PM

both these bitches should be locked up, one for DUI and too for being shitty actors.

You just have to adapt and follow the posted maximum speed. That is not hard to do. When in <s>Rome</s> Hawaii, do what <s>Romans</s> Hawaiians do. Slow down, smell the fresh air, and enjoy the scenery. You are in an island for G*d sake. And learn to raise your hand (to say thank you) when other drivers let you cut in. Also, please please please don't honk your horn.

It would be nice if tourists are not allowed to drive here ;) . With just their short stay, they know what's best for the people that live here.

Josh H 12-15-05 02:42 PM

Oh, don't worry, I'll never go back to Oahu. I wasn't impressed at all.
