Gene Hackman on Smallville?

I just started to watch smallville. Not on tv but the dvds and I'm on season 3.
I see Christopher Reeves was on there. Will Gene Hackman ever be on?

I'd say the odds of Hackman making an appearance on Smallville are the same as Chris Reeve making a return appearance.

Yes, he'll play an ex-president who has moved to Smallville and decides to run for State Senate against Jonathan. Hijinks ensue.

He will show up as soon as Teri Hatcher shows up as Lois Lane's mother.

What are you crazy?
They are talking Dean Cain but that's as far as the link to past Superman's go.
Valerie Perrine anyone????

It would be great if Gene did show up, if only because we'd have the celebrity voice of Lowe's and the celebrity voice of Home Depot on one show.

I dont know why this is such a crazy question. So far we have Margot Kidder...Christopher Reeve and Annette O'toole and Terrance Stamp. So why wouldn't it be possible for Gene to make a appearance?

Reason #1: $

It'd be kinda neat, though.

I just started season 1 last week and I don't get why it is such an odd question. Celebs do one-off tv episodes all the time. Just look at the parade of revolving guest stars on that crapfest Will & Grace.

Money is probably not the issue. I would bet character development and storyline are higher on the list to Hackman.

I don't think it's money either. I'm quite sure they'd pay for him. The only reason i can think of is because he may not want to be on a show that's on WB.
