Curb Your Enthusiasm - "Lewis Needs a Kidney" - 10/30/05

I'm surprised there's not more talk about this show, if I missed the existing thread for this one, please let me know.

Anyways, this one really had me laughing. The ending was one of the best I've seen in awhile, but I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it. Another funny thing for me was that I agree with Larry's interpretation of rules of "eenie, meenie." Or maybe that's part of the joke too? Larry pausing to come back and get his coin was pretty good.

Pretty good episode, not all out hysterical like some episodes in season 4, but still pretty funny.

The best line was Suzie talking about Jeff giving up his kidney, "He isn't giving up his kidney, he may need it for his kids someday, and he is a fat f**k, so he probably won't survive the surgery!" And Jeff points to Suzie in his agreement. Classic!

I thought that it was pretty good, but definitely not a classic by any stretch of the imagination.

I laughed at the part where Larry didn't want to tell the receptionist what the call was regarding. I have the same POV as he does - it's none of their business! I hate when I get asked that question.

I thought last night's episode was hilarious. The funniest bit was between Larry and his wife. Larry: "If you ever get sick, you know I'm out, right?"

Not a bad episode -

What's wrong with Richard Lewis' eye - Looks like some sort of hemerage.

I'm on the same wavelength as Larry. Ass grabbing is part of my cuddle, and I don't plan to change

I thought this was the best episode of the season. And was that a stunt double in the last freeze frame? If not, Larry may have an NBA caliber vertical game.

I thought this was one of the best episodes ever, still second best of this season. This was back to Larry getting in trouble innocently and not going out of his way to make trouble.

Hilarious episode. I loved the Jack in the Box parking lot scene. This season has been miles above last season.

I am amazed how good season 5 has been. Halfway through season 4 (which I still liked) I thought maybe Curb was running out of gas, but 4 of these 5 new eps have been Curb Classics! This one was great because like stated, Larry was not going out of his way to make trouble like he sometimes does, it was all justified and he didn't come off as an asshole like he sometimes does... LOVED the ending...Brilliant way to have the episode come around...and I love seeing Frank Whaley...after Career Opportunities and Swimming with Sharks, the guy can do no wrong.

Yeah, it was nice to see Frank Whaley in that episode. When they first showed him, I was wondering if he was going to be playing a character, or just himself.

I was a little freaked out by Lewis' kidney scenes. He just looked so sickly, that it was almost believable. Good job there!

I thought the ending was a little too predictable, but Larry's reaction made it funny anyway.

Overall, a pretty good episode. Pretty, pretty, pretty... good.

I thought this episode was hysterical! I don't know if it's HBO HD or is Richard Lewis looking worse and worse every time?

Hey, I don't even have HD and RL looked like death warmed-over. Scary.

Well, he was in need of a new kidney. I'm sure he'll look better after the operation
