What was the name of the show in the early 90's about

Okay so when I was younger in about early 90's late 80's there were two sort of spy shows. One was a remake of mission impossible, it wasn't the original show it was new, does anyone remember this? It was on for only like a year, I cant find any information about it

Also theres another show about a guy who once a week would get plastic surgery to make himself look like a guy that was about to be killed. He'd live them with a family and by the end go back. and no it wasn't the pretender.

Anyone remember either of these shows?
