This show is fucking awesome. I'll be watching....nuff said, oh and plus it got Xander's seal of approval and that's enough for me :D I've only missed one episode so far and that was beyond my control, I don't understand why people aren't tuning in, the show is fun. They can do urban legends for years hell a couple weeks ago a buddy and me were talking about it and started naming all the urban legends we could think of "The Hook" was on the list :) |
This one from last week's previews looks to be pretty damn good.

Ok, so I watch TAR live and tape this.....but I still watch it every week. |
It's the not first priority of the timeslot, but I watch it without fail.
|
It's the only thing I watch on Tuesday nights, but I still record it; I record everything commercials drive me insane.
MEJHarrison YOU ARE SOMEBODY!!! don't forget that ;) I'm not trying to say that this show is some serious drama or anything, it's just damn fun TV. |
I love this show, i watch every week. Anyways this episode looks and sounds really cool.
|
I tape it every week and watch it later. It is a fun show that lets you relax from a hard day at work.

Unfortunately because of other commitments, I still have to watch last week episode and probably this week too. |

This episode was probably the scariest episode of the season. This show needs another cast member... I am tired of the guys finding a new GF every week and then leaving to get a new one! The plot should continue instead of a new story every week.

great show.
|
Lots of people watch it. The thread gets more play than you do I bet. I keed.
They are really running out of ideas on the show. I've never even heard of hookman before. |

Well, I thought it was a great episode once again. This is my second favorite new show this year after Prison Break. And the sound track continues to impress week after week. In fact, after watching last night's episode, I was inspired to dust off my old Boston CD for the drive into work today.
I disagree that this show needs a running story line. With everyone trying to do arc shows now, it's nice to just have a moster of the week type show. |
Probably my favorite episode so far. Really enjoyed this episode, and thought it was actually a little scary. I do like that it is a monster of the week, but I wish they made a little more progress with finding thier dad. Either way, I'm watching this show and having fun.
|
Well no, I wasn't kidding about the hookman bit. Asied from IKWYDLS and Peter Pan I haven't. Guess the hookman urban legend isn't cool enough to run around my parts. :D
|
liking this show more and more......this episode had some good scares in it.
def. heard of the hookman before. great story to tell when camping......boo! |
I have to watch it on Saturday or Sunday (I forget at the moment) because my Fox turns in to the WB after 9 but because of Baseball it pushes the shows on the WB back a few hours. In which case, Im asleep. Sux0rz
But I watch this show when I can. |
Watching this show is an education. We'll all know how to handle various urban legends if it ever becomes necessary. ;)
Edit: Bulldog as clergy. |

I'm thinking as some point they're going to need to explain from where their financing is coming. They got a parking ticket this week and gasoline ain't free! Unfortunately, I too usually have to wait until Sunday to record this show. So I don't usually get to post in this thread b/c it is always a moot point. By the time *I* get to watch the episode, the new one has usually already aired! But I AM watching!!!! |

Also, Dean plays poker to get cash. |

... and I suspect that the ain't gonna pay that ticket. :)

This is the best new show this year, and I watch it whenever possible. This and LOST are the only 2 shows I follow.

pretty much can plug in any old boogie man into that story line.. I'm also not really sure I have ever heard of a guy with a hook. Then again I too am in california and I think all our boogie man stories as kids just star your plain old run of the mill psycho.. hehe None of that fancy hooked handed blah blah stuff As for the show, I find it sort of funny that a new show like Supernatural has a really good mix of horror + some humor in it.. Sort of like the old eps of Night Stalker do.. Only to then have a new modern version of Night Stalker get that mix totaly wrong, maybe even to the point of having next to no humor in the first place.. Oh they have LOTS of talk talk talk talk in some dark office but not much else. Sort of strange really, as if Supernatural is a better remake of Night Stalker theme wise then the real remake is, IMO of course. |

 I agree. |

This was the first episode I've watched of the show, and it was fairly good. I'd add it to my DVR, but its Tuesday timeslot is terrible because there are already (IMO) better shows on at the same time: My Name Is Earl + The Office. Also on at this time is Commander in Chief (which I don't watch but may start because everyone at work does). WB does repeat it on Sundays, but that timeslot has Family Guy + American Dad as well as Desperate Housewives in it.
So until WB puts Supernatural on in a different timeslot, I'll miss it until these other shows are showing reruns or being preempted. |

Cool ep! Still loving this show. Daniel-A - can't BELIEVE you have never heard of the hook man. The guy hanging over the car, and the "aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light" urban legends are like two of the most famous ones I know, especially in the college environment. I liked how they addressed both. Still a great soundtrack, and they are still at least mentioning their dad in every ep, even though I am liking the monster of the week format, for now. Yeah, I'm still tuning in. Haven't missed an ep yet. Haven't not liked one either, for that matter. :) I try not to think about how they're getting the funds to travel around the country. :) |
I love the show and record every episode and watch it later without commercials.

I had also never really heard this particular urban legend. Went to college in the midwest. Now that I think about it, we never really paid much attention to ANY urban legends except of course the black market kidney scam.
Anyway, I get why the hookman went after her date and her dad, but the roommate didn't make sense. She wasn't really being immoral. Also, when she got back to her house the night the roommate was killed, weren't they supposed to be taking tequila shots and watching movies? |
