The Carver has been the preeminent underlying plot since about midway through last season. No way they are going to waste all that on some tertiary, meaningless character. It will be someone fairly prominent in the show.

Just because what we have seen of the Carver looks to have a different body structure than someone like Liz doesn't mean much, imo. I don't know how much the show runners even care about that. All the Carver is at this point is a body in a costume. I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if, when they started the whole Carver angle, they didn't even know, or plan to make it so important, who was going to be behind the mask. If that is the case, they can make it anyone they want on the fly and not worry about how skinny the person in the suit was at the time they shot the original stuff with him/her.

You could also maybe consider that if in fact they were planning on the Carver being someone heavy set, and had someone in the outfit to represent that, it would be basically a dead giveaway.

The way they have done it keeps everyone guessing, which I am sure is what they want. That and for everyone to think Quentin may be the guy at the same time.

How then would they explain someone with say, Matt's bodytype turning out to be Liz? I mean, come on. Some people actually pay attention to detail.

And I really don't think it's Liz. She's too empathetic to go cutting, raping, and killing people.

Does any one remember a screen cap from one of the previews from one of last season's episodes where they showed So who knows.

If they do make Quentin the carver, you know they're going to throw another curveball at you -it never stops.

I think in the end, that's why I believe it will be Quentin. I think Ryan has something for us that will blow our minds in a way that will also blow our minds. While everybody is busy looking for the "twist" about who it is, I think he's setting something bigger and more satisfying up.

That could very well be the case, and you are right, everyone, including myself, has been so wrapped up in who it will be that we would still be floored by it.

I agree that the Carver will have to be someone at least as important as Quentin. So basically that leaves

as possibilities. That is if you are thinking it must be a pretty big character. Also, couldnt Dr. Grace Santiago be at least a slight possibility if it is a woman. She doesnt really fit the profile, but she is still someone that was a big character in the first season that is no longer on the show. Even with narrowing it down to that list, that is still a lot of characters, and it is really impossible to guess who it is.

No chance, as beauty is important to him.

I Think that Sean telling Quentin about Christians condom (planted by Kit) may have upset him and then watching the news and seeing Christian getting the credit pissed him off some more... so he threatened detective Kit into talking to the DA before he carved her... like he threatened sean back in season 2

Kit's speech about "the guilty man sleeps" at the beginning was taken almost verbatum from The Usual Suspects.

That possibility crossed my mind too.

Loved the double twist of Christian calling the TV reporter himself and Kit becoming the next victim.

How was she messed up mentally? She's actually one of the most normal people on the show.

Why would the Carver be Liz? What on earth about her screams sociopath? I can't wait to see who it is. Until 1 of us finished, 6 of us at work were watching Nip/Tuck at the same time (5 of us left), all on different seasons/episodes. I'm hooked. I watched 5.75 episodes yesterday at work.

I must be the only one who thinks Matt's hot :D I love his storyline. And I love bad Sean. There's a nerdy quality to him that attracts me. I'd rather date him than Christian.

Whatever happened to her, by the way? She just disappeared near the end of season one and they've made no mention of her since.

Heh, I too just finished these episodes and the entire third season. Pretty good, but the whole Carver resolution was eventually a letdown for me. The very end sort of makes up for it though. For those still finishing it up, enjoy.

She was on that CW show "Hidden Palms." She played the suicide/murder victim's mother that was the focus of the big "mystery."
