Premieres on Showtime 10/28......looks interesting!
I thought this would fit best in TV Talk since there is a new one each weekend....

I don't have showtime but this looks awesome. Takashi Miike's, John Carpenter's, John Landis are ones I'm looking forward to.
Any chance of this being on dvd? Or being on dvd and not costing 100 bucks?

I'm very tempted to subscribe to Showtime just for this series. For me, that's saying something since Showtime's movie lineup is noticeably worse than everyone else's (even its sister channel, The Movie Channel).

I posted about this in the Comic-Con thread from July. The great thing about this series is that, according to John Landis, Showtime only had 3 stipulations:
1) Shoot their segment in Canada (this might've been changed for Miike)
2) Stay within budget
3) Segment can only be 1 hr
Everything else was entirely up to the director. The network was totally hands-off.
I hope this will really make for a great series

Just went to the website... weren't George Romero and Robert Corman supposed to be doing films for this as well? They're not listed on the site.
If this takes off, who else could they get? Wes Craven is an obvious choice. It'd be cool to see Peter Jackson and Sam Raimi contribute, but they are probably too busy/successful to take part in this. Guillermo Del Toro, Hideo Nakata, Clive Barker, David Cronenberg, and Takashi Shimizu would all be good choices. They could probably get people like Sean Cunningham, Dan O'Bannon (is he still directing?), Steve Miner and Brian Yuzna... they're already stretching the "Masters" title anyway with people like William Malone in there.

I'd love for it to be successfull and we see part 2 next year with the likes of Clive Barker, David Cronenberg, Dan O'Bannon, Frank Hennenlotter and maybe even Sam Raimi.

I wonder if this will be an eventual dvd season set, or if it may be one of those deals where extra footage is placed in, and each one gets a seperate release as a full-length straight to dvd horror flick?
In any case this means I need to subscribe to Showtime

I've been waiting for this for a while. Hopefully it'll be good. The preview for it seemed pretty hit and miss, although a quick cut pastiche of scenes from 13 episodes without knowing who the director is will probably be a tough sell no matter what.

Fantastic! I've been into a real horror feel the last couple of months (mainly due to books) but I need some good horror tv in my life. Supernatural is pretty damn good, but truly scary? Not so much.
