Nip/Tuck - "Rhea Reynolds" - 10/11/05

"Rhea Reynolds"
Spoiler:
Christian has doubts over the latest Carver victim's story; a wife of an Alzheimer's patient asks for an extreme makeover; Matt files a restraining order against Sean.

The listings have this ep as 63 minutes long so pad accordingly if you are recording.

kelso 10-11-05 10:03 PM

Did they give away too much in a preview?

draven31 10-11-05 10:08 PM

Spoiler:
Damn and next week..............I CANT WAIT!!

I dont think Christian is the carver though.

Jimmy James 10-11-05 10:15 PM

$(&# Comcast DVR not recording everything!

At least this is a show that repeats a lot. I have padded all future episodes by 5 minutes.

wetsprockets 10-11-05 10:42 PM

Man I hate Matt. He needs to magically find Jean and go away forever.

MrX 10-11-05 11:20 PM

Good episode.

Everybody ends up miserable in the end.

It was hard to feel sorry for the chick that faked the attack only to get knifed by the real carver at the end.

Matt's still a douche

conscience 10-11-05 11:37 PM

That scene with her screaming 'from the inside' was great.

I thought for sure that was going to be fake or something, WOW! So yet another clue that Quentin is the Carver, or are these just red herrings?

What happened in the last two minutes after the chick got slashed? The DVR cut out

That was the end.
She was on the floor in front of The Carver. He raised his blade. Slash. The End.

Red Dog 10-12-05 08:59 AM

A more laid-back episode, which was a good break. That ending was great.

Borst 10-12-05 09:12 AM

Spoiler:
My guess on next weeks preview is that Christian is imagining it all while he is under testing the anesthesia. Maybe the whole episode will be a dream like the first few minutes of the season premiere.

Thanks... Forgot to pad the DVR and it cut off as she dropped the tray...

I really liked the episode, you could really feel for Sean when the DSS workers were grilling him...

Knowing a few people in that field, there's almost nothing "right" you can say or do once they get there. If they're in your house 9/10 times it's a guilty until proven inocent attitude...

I thought it was exceptionally funny that when Julia showed up he was pouring a glass of booze with them sitting there... Not always a good choice. Abuser & a drunk... Strike 2.

Hubcap 10-12-05 01:30 PM

i recorded the 11pm nip tuck and the episode started with the red head chick getting slashed on the floor, but what happened between there and when christian came into the office and the assistant was asking for them to suspend her.

sebastianv50 10-12-05 05:53 PM

I thought it was a good episode, but not really a standout. Definitely looks like kind of a setup for what is to come in next weeks episode that looks really intense and important.

cut out

I'm hoping they're red herrings. But, if you listen to the carver's voice now, it sounds a hell of a lot like Quentin. Allthough a bit modified, but it still sounds like him.

If it is Quentin, I'll be very disappointed.

Great episode overall. I liked the wife getting surgery so her husband would recognize her, and then when she sees he has a new girlfriend and decides to stay with them. Really heartfelt.

He should have told them to make an appointment and talk to his lawyer. Please, please, please let Matt be the slasher or his next victim, or anything to get the most annoying character on tv off this wonderful show.

You can't rape yourself.

Me too because everyone suspects him.

Good episode. Next week looks like we are going to get some startling developments.

Please go away Matt. It bugged me that his Mother let him stay at her place after the way he treated her the week before. C'mon Julia!

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but we have nothing but the victim's statement establishing he was raped. No physical evidence was collected.

Jimmy James 10-13-05 05:10 PM

I don't get the whole "if it's Quentin, I'll be disappointed" movement at all. If the story is a high quality one, I don't care who it is. What will really piss me off is if there is no foundation for who the Carver is, giving us a "what the hell" moment just for the heck of it.

funstan 10-13-05 08:46 PM

Very odd coincidences:

Christian was paralyzed during his attack much like Rhea Reynolds was during the surgery. Liz said the anathesia (or however you spell it) had been taking to the dump. Got a feeling these two incidences are intertwined someway.

Now that you mention it, it certainly is possible that if the Carver is any of the main characters on the show, they were able to get in and tamper with the chemicals precisely to get revenge on this faker of a victim.

Which is why all signs point to Quentin.

He's been the obvious main suspect ever since he showed up (other maybe than Bobolitt)

Who knows, maybe his whole motive for doing this is to get more attention drawn to McNamara/Troy and weasel his way into a good job

treszoks 10-14-05 09:48 AM

They should make the carver be Matt and then he can get the death penalty.

Bobolitt has been my prime suspect for some time.
