Commander in Chief "First Strike" 10/11/05

Spoiler:
Faced with her first national crisis - the death of nine DEA agents in Latin America - Mackenzie shows strength and resolve in dealing with a corrupt leader. Meanwhile, Nathan Templeton is approached by an ambitious congressman who served with Mac's Vice Presidential candidate, Warren Keaton, and is eager to divulge potentially damaging info in an effort to derail his nomination. Mac's teenage twins resume public school, only this time it's complete with secret service detail and press spectacle, and while popular Horace welcomes the attention, shy Rebecca finds it overwhelming.

I'm really getting into this show. Right now it's better than West Wing. I could do with less focus on the kids, though.

And Geena Davis is a PILF.

Even though it clearly isn't as good as Sorkin-West Wing, I can see this show doing better than WW ever did in the ratings because it is definitely geared to a more Middle American audience.

Julie Ann Emrey.

What's a PILF?
I havent watched this weeks episode yet but look forward to seeing it tonight.
Someone mentioned that it was geared more towards Middle America and I think that's why they have the family stuff. The younger crowd can watch the young uns and the older crowd can watch the show for the Political stuff and Geena of course.

Well it is not only the family stuff that makes it geared toward Middle America. I think it is the politics too.

been watching this series. enjoying it. D. Sutherland plays his character very well. The first husband is starting to annoy me.

that flashback scene gave me "flashbacks" of lost episodes.

I can certainly see that point, but I think there's plenty of story in how kids react to having a parent as President.

I really enjoyed Tuesdays episode. Geena Davis is doing a great job. I feel for her husband. He is used to helping and now people are not wanting him to help. The stuff with the kids fit into the story better overall in this episode. Plotlines that include someone losing their diary is so Brady Bunch and been done to death.
Like that they are interjecting some sopay elements with the revelation that they were going to try and remove Geena Davis's character from the Vice Preisdency before the President had his stroke.
