Any of these shows worth watching?
Hello, with this new and amazing technology known as a DVR, we have the ability to easily record more programs than we could in the past. okay heres the thing though, we tape SO MUCH stuff, and i thought itd be easier to ask around for what is worth watching. we like and watch Prison Break, Lost S.V.U., My name is Earl, 4400 and 24. our new program options include
Invasion
Surface
Ghost Whisperer
Threshold
Night Stalker
Supernatural
Commander in Chief
we have watched the 1st episode of Invasion, and are havent gotten around to the others yet. which of these appear to not even make it to next season and which others look like sure-fire hits?

The only new shows I am watching this season is:
Surface
Commander in Chief
I gave Invasion a chance but was bored to death during ep2 so I gave that up. Nothing else has even been interesting looking enought to watch an episode so I'll just stick to the 2 above and returning shows.

Commander in Chief is definitely the best of the bunch. Night Stalker and Ghost Whisperer are surprisingly good. Threshold is surprisingly bad. The other 3 are just average.
My favorite new show has actually been Breaking Bonaduce. I had no interest in him, but the show is really well made and I really like seeing a more psychological examination of a person.

Invasion - Will likely stick around at least until the end of the season (it's been getting good ratings after Lost).
Surface - Okay ratings, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't make it to the end of the season. Fear Factor was doing better in that slot, so I'd bet they bring that back by mid-season.
Ghost Whisperer - Was the top show of the night on Friday, so I think this one will stick around for a while. Solid Friday numbers for CBS.
Threshold - Wins its timeslot, but is the ratings dip between two more successful shows for CBS. Plus it seems to lose viewers each week. I doubt this will make it to season 2.
Night Stalker - Poor ratings, but it's in a terrible slot. The slot isn't a big show of faith on ABC's part.
Supernatural - Has been extended to a full season order. It's getting better ratings than most of the WB lineup, and its their only new show to score. Almost a sure bet to be around for another season unless things change drasticly.
Commander in Chief - Getting big numbers. This will be around for a while, I'm guessing.

Ghost Whisperer - the pilot was a bit too schmaltzy for my tastes
Threshold - great pilot, but lost me after the next episode
Night Stalker - just finished the pilot and enjoyed it
Supernatural - fun show, has a lot of promise
Commander in Chief - never watched

I think Commander in Chief is the best of those you listed.
Out of the 3 sci-fi/mystery shows (Invasion, Surface, and Threshold), I like Threshold the best.
And the 3 supernatural shows (Ghost Whisperer, Night Stalker, and Supernatural), I'm still undecided.

Ghost Whisperer: I find this surprisingly touching. I'm not a big JLH fan (although my son was obsessed with her when he was 15) but she seems to fit this role well.
Invasion: I'm trying to get into this one, but I'm just not getting attached to the characters.
