Nickelodeon off air today (10/1) Noon-3pm ET telling kids to "go out and play"

My daughter came in and told me that "the weirdest thing just happened" on Nick, so I clicked it on to see. They have a graphic and some song on a loop declaring it to be (Inter?)national Play Day.

So, we just shrugged and flipped it over to watch some Lizzie McGuire on Disney Channel (just kidding). It did remind me that we should devote some quality time on a fun activity today...

Its a little warm outside to play, so my kids are playing "Pokemon". They have their backpacks on their stuffed animals by their side and they on adventure of some sort.

To Nick for having the 'brass things' to do something like this... eventhough part of the loop says to come back at 3 PM ET for TEENick celebrities and the World Play Day Giveaway.

I remember seeing that happen once before a few years ago.

I guess that would explain why the school up the street from me had this massive colorful inflated play ground set up and a thousand kids jumping, running and sliding. It made me wish I was a kid again so I could go and participate in the fun!

I saw that too when I turned on the tv since it was still on Nick from Nick-at-Nite. Very odd.
