Those reviews aren't making me look forward to this. :(
I'll still check it out. |

I'm giving it a shot because I love Dennis Hopper but when I first heard about this show, one word came to mind: boring.

I been looking forward to this one. I like the premise
Not bad. Will give it a shot for a while.
Not bad, not good. I like the premise. Just thinking of what decisions get made in that little ring makes my mind go crazy. It could get really interesting.
I thought it was pretty good. I will definitely be watching.
I thought it was ok. Although some of the dialogue had me rolling my eyes and Bratt and the Marine NCO's preformances seem somewhat forced.
I enjoyed it. Anyone notice Benjamin Bratt's wedding ring that disappeared in the segments with his girlfriend? I heard his character was suppose to be married with a kid in the original pilot. But since the actress who played her quit the show, they re-shot the pilot with the girlfriend. I guess the producers couldn't re-shoot the scenes where he was still wearing the ring.
I really liked it, except for Bratt's hokey "never leave anyone behind" speech (which really didn't apply anyway) and the Chairman of the JCS acting like he had never heard that angle before.
Otherwise a solid show. I'll check it out again next week. |
I liked it. Did anyone else notice it was directed by Taylor Hackford (Ray, Proof of Life)? Even though it was a bit cheesy, I liked the part where the seals rescued the spy. I thought that was well directed. I think next week will involve another special forces, they looked like deltas. I'm a sucker for shows/movies that involves military special forces.

Total garbage IMO. Won't be coming back for second viewing.
Maybe the "action" part could have promise, but watching the military bureaucracy at work is frankly upsetting.

Missed that, but when he came home after riding the seatless bike home, he carried the bike in through the front door and set it down...with a seat on the bike. Later on, it had no seat again. |

I just watched it.
I don't really see the point to this show. All the action happens outside of the office and the main characters? You watch Alias to see Jennifer Garner kick spy butt, not see her bosses argue for permission to send her on the mission. I had to laugh at the "signing papers" montage. It kind of underscored the lameness of the premise. I did like the scenes outside of the office and next week Kelly Rutherford is added to cast. I have a had a girl-crush on her since Melrose Place, so I will watch it again, but I don't see myself sticking around for the season unless it gets much better.

I started watching, but erased the show after about 20 minutes. I've got enough to watch...
I saw the original pilot and can easily see why Clarke was written out. I think she's a talented actress, but her character was badly conceived and came off as exceedingly unsympathetic. Married....single....either way, I didn't care for the show.
Which Clarke was it? Only one I can think of is Melinda and she's on another show, already.

Ah, Sarah Clarke. She was supposed to be Bratt's wife? Maybe they just went for the more appealing eye candy. I doubt she can ouact Clarke though.
I don't think it was as bad as others thought, but when I watch this, it makes me -ohbfrank- that The Agency got canned a few years ago. That show was far superior to this one.
