Heather Locklear. I can't wait.

Somehow I don't think this Shatner/Locklear reunion will mirror the relationship TJ Hooker had with Stacy Sheridan.

Ok...so is this a "new episode" or one of last season's unaired episodes that was going to be pushed into this season?

There were, I think, 5 episodes from last season, and this is one of them. It's going to be a 27-episode season.

I didn't like how we didn't get much intro for the Julie Bowen character, or the young guy, or replacing Kerry Washington with another black actress, it would seem.

The testimony of the mute girl musician was awesome, loved her playing the theme to "Jaws" when Shirley was starting her cross examination, and then ended it with "The Wicked Witch" music from "The Wizard of Oz" when Shirley was finished and returned to her seat.

Yeah, they could have introduced the nOOb's a little better.

Great to have Denny back though - I hope Shore kills Bernie before Xmas. Or maybe Betty White will.

Also - glad to see that they have Brad working w/ Allen. Those two play off of each other pretty damn good.

BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION

Need I say more? That was a great premiere even though it was intended for last season.

Poor Monica Potter, her character is relegated to standing behind Denny while he's looking at porn I wonder if it's her scenes they cut out and replaced with the noobs.

I didn't even see her. But she did get credit for a special appearance along with the British chickie. I guess they are out. I thought some of the initial cuts were to focus the storylines on the big characters...but all they do is replace them with three new faces. I hate bernie and betty white's character. I hope there is a murder-suicide arc in their near future.

I love this show and definitely missed it.

Was she really back there? That was a great scene. Gotta love when the cameras are on Denny going into the courtroom - always great quotes. Anyhow, cheers to Monica being dumped. Hopefully, Bernie is soon to follow. Just make sure to keep Betty White around.

Great to see Judge 'Guber.' He and Alan should have great exchanges in the weeks to come.

I wish they kept the black chick with the oversized upper lip around.

Yeah, you could just catch a quick glimpse of her when everyone was leaving.

Liked this episode but didn't like the cello girl and Julie Bowen's character was boring. I hope she gets better as the show goes on.

And my goodness how terrible Rupert Everett looks! If I hadn't heard his voice before seeing his face, I would never have recognized him? What happened?

Were the newbies edited into the original episode?

Anthony Heald was reprising his character from The Practice. Of course, he also played Guber on The Practice...

Wasn't Anthony Heald on Boston Public, another David E. Kelly drama? Who could forget him on that show!

Also it would be great to see Ronnie Cooke guest star as a lawyer in Boston Legal as well; then we would have Odo, Captain Kirk and Seven of Nine all on the same show!

Why do you think I called him Judge Guber.

Meh. An average episode. Kind of dissapointing for the season premire thought I know it wasn't shot to actually be the season premire. I totally missed the Julie Bowen character intro. Does she work for Crane, Poole, & Schmidt? I didn't get that impression, but she also wasn't taking on a lawyer from CP&S so why was she even on the show? Not that I'm complaining cause I've sure missed seeing her on tv.

No impression was needed. The junior associate (that she was overseeing) clearly stated that she was a senior associate during the episode.

This episode was scheduled to air before she was even signed on. That's why you didn't see her character interact with any of the people you saw last year. They just edited her scenes in.

This episode was decent, but I don't see why they felt the need to introduce the new characters in an episode that wasn't meant to have them. I'd have preferred if they'd left last year's episodes alone.

I agree.

Credibility was stretched with the cello testimony, IMO. I know you can't really take this show seriously, but that was really stretching things.

You never stated he was on Boston Public, but Legolas stated the character Guber was from the Practice, thus where I see the confusion set in.

Heald played Guber on The Practice during a Boston Public crossover. However, this character of Judge Cooper was one he ALSO played on The Practice.

I agree those scenes were way too ridiculous, even for this show. It definitly brought down the quality of the episode.
