The episode was a little too predictable for me but seeing Amy Acker in the bathtub made it all better.

for the soundtrack.

Love amy acker and so far I'm really getting into this show. It's creepier than most movies I've seen over the past few years. Great to have a new show like this on TV.

Is this more of a "Monster of the Week" show, rather than long story-arcs? From reviews this sounds like maybe the best of the new horror/sci-fi, but I haven't seen any episodes. Even though it seems most internet fans love the mega-long arcs, it's tough to get up to speed if you haven't been watching from the start.

So far it has mostly been monster of the week. There is a backstory, but it hasn't factored much into the episodes other than some bitching by the younger brother. You should be fine watching the next episode and watching the saga sale at the beginning of the episode.

Another good one last night. Keeping up the creep factor. Not even Amy Acker kept me from liking this one. She annoyed the hell out of me on Angel, but I liked her in this role.

I hate the timeslot though.

God, I hate our local Dallas WB affiliate! This is the 2nd time (our of 3 episodes) they've switched to SD for the third act. Forcing me to watch the climax in 4x3 SD, pro logic, with all their stupid pop up ads for other shows. I really want to like this show, but I'd rather just wait for the DVD's than have it ruined every week.

Wow, it must be Buffyverse reunion week. Allison Hannigan on How I Met Your Mother, Nic Brendon on Kitchen Confidential, David Boreanaz on Bones, Charisma Carpenter on Veronica Mars, and Amy Acker here. Not to mention
Spoiler:
James Marsters will supposedly be appearing on Smallville
. And if you want to get technical, Seth Green on Family Guy.

Anyway, a pretty good ep. Better than last week's, and I'm glad they changed up the formula a bit by not simply following their dad's leads.

The top half of the "ghost" kid popping out of the lake was creepy cool.

Monster-of-the-week is being pulled off in a way that's much more X-Files than Smallville and that's fine by me.

I'm enjoying this show less and less. I didn't even make it through all of this episode.

I agree (although I did manage to make it to the end of the episode). This is X-Files Lite, Dull and Dumbed Down. I've dumped it.

I'm enjoying it more and more, I think it's still going to take a couple episodes to really get into a groove.

I didn't like this episode more than the first 2. Well not all of it. Amy Acker in the tub if only there was a way to get the footage that hit the floor for that scene. And for 2 weeks in a row Ackles makes groan with, "...the buried his bike? You can't bury the truth Jake, nothing stay buried." Still a good episode, will continue wathcing.

I'm still liking this show. Does have a definite x-files vibe to it. I love when they are talking about what kind of monster they could be dealing with. Water wraith, demon, etc. Just cool stuff. I'm still tuning in...

(edit) Edited to say that I'm also digging the hard rock soundtrack they're using.
