Kitchen Confidential -- Aftermath -- 9/26/05

Spoiler:
Jack blames Steven when expensive steaks and caviar start to go missing from the kitchen. Stockbrokers run up a huge bill and then dine and dash.

Any takers on this during week two, or did the ratings scare everyone away? I have it tucked away on my DVR.

I thought it was ok

It has it moments but I wouldn't miss it if it was canceled. I'm just watching it right now because it's on between AD and Prison Break

I think I might've laughed once. I'm done with this show. And is it just me or did some of the actresses look like their breasts had tripled in size since the pilot?

You make it sound like is a bad thing.

I don't really laugh that much either, but I just enjoy watching the show. I like the characters, and I like the plots. I don't mind it being light on the funny.

I admit to laughing at Xander's premature frosting squeeze.

I didn't mean to imply big, fake hooters are a bad thing. It's just that while I'm used to actors maybe sporting a different hairstyle in the 2nd episode vs. the pilot which was shot months earlier, I've never seen an actress's breasts grow about 3 cup sizes.

Mmmm...Linsdsay Price. That last bit of Jack taking her from behind was hilarious for such a quick cut.

That's exactly how I feel. I watched this after How I Met Your Mother and I'd thought that show was pretty good, but, while there aren't many laughs, I really just enjoyed this show more. It's well done, well acted, and interesting without having much "funny".

Not as funny as the pilot. But I'll keep watching. But this episode lowered how it is ranking in the rankings.

Apparently I thought it was better than you guys did. Nothing wrong with the eye candy, and I like the general premise of the show. The $18,000 dine and dash was pretty funny.

I think I'll be sticking with it. It might take them an entire season to introduce all of the characters, if it lasts that long.

I didn;t notice he was missing until the previews for the next episode. The lack of Cho might have been what was missing. I remember him doing very well in the pilot.

I think that this was a better episode than the first one. As stated, it wasn't really a laugh out loud type of show, but it was entertaining nonetheless.

I didn't mind the first episode but I thought last nights episode was terrible. I won't be watching anymore.

Speaking of the boobage - Jaime King either wore one hell of a push-up bra or she received a couple of gifts from McNamara & Troy for X-Mas.

I always like to see Lindsey Price.

This is an ok show... I get into it once I start watching, but I almost have to force myself to select it from my DVR's recorded list.

I actually thought it was really funny. I laffed out loud a bunch of times. I also think it benefited (as many 2nd episodes do) from less time spent on the set up.

And John Cho was in the little segment that ran during the closing credits.

it's not slapstick, but it's got it's funny moments. but overall, it's a good show.

how can you even remotely let someone "chew and screw" on a $18,000 tab? you'd think everyone would be watching that table like a hawk.

Ditto. I thought the dine and dash was hilarious. The New Jack City line was clever too.

Yeah, but he was barely in the pilot as well. He was the main person I was thinking of when I said it'll take forever to introduce all of the characters. There's no way they can cram everybody into all the episodes.
