2005 - The year of the voice over?
 

I've noticed quite a few shows that I'm hooked on use this technique and use it well. The narrator, inner monologue etc. Why the facsination all of a sudden?

On my must watch list I have:

Arrested Development
Scrubs
Grey's Anatomy
My Name is Earl

Are there a few more out there that use it effectively that I'm missing? The best to date for me still has to be the Wonder Years though.

The other new show to use this is "Everybody Hates Chris".

Veronica Mars can be added to the list as well.

Desperate Housewives

Everwood has it too, I believe.
