"Man Of Science, Man Of Faith"

In the season premiere, one of the castaways is chosen to descend into the mysterious hatch, and Shannon stumbles upon a shockingly familiar face in the jungle.

I'll probably leave this on my Tivo for a couple days before watching.

I anxious as hell to see it, but I'd like to get through the final 4 episodes on DVD before watching it, and that won't happen by tomorrow night.

In the hatch, duh.

Actually, I was going to use the season two cast photo [which is also featuring a missing cast member...on purpose?], but I went with season one's.

I am guessing that the missing cast member is

Spoiler:
Walt

From the spoilers for this episode, if true,

Spoiler:
Walt shows up briefly and then is gone again

I'm assuming that there's no reason to watch the clip show, if I just watched Season 1 on DVD in the past week? And yes, it kind of bothers me that out of the 45 or so people alive, the show focuses solely on 15 (or 14) of them.

If the other 30 or anywhere near as annoying as
Spoiler:
Artz was
then I don't want to know about them.

It kindda bothered me too but I see a couple of reasons for this:

1. More luggage = more stuff to survive on, like meds...
2. Hard enough to have a script with 14 major characters, let alone 40+
3. A handy supply of disposable "specialists" characters, as in "we need a science teacher in this episode". This bothers me the most, it's a bit too convenient.

That pic in the 1st post is linked wrong, I see a big red X.

I think this is my 1st post in the TV forum.

But since I just finished Lost season 1 on DVD for review purposes and it would kill me to have to wait a year for season 2, I choose the lesser of 2 evils, or weevils as the other Jack would say.

So the 8pm (eastern) show is a recap only with no new content?

My next question is, if those are your two issues, WHY dont you have a DVR? Does Canadian Cable not offer them? Because your really missing alot of good stuff over two easily solved problems.

I think, but I'm watching it anyways. I'll just FF through a bunch of it.

And it appears that they're not going a minute over or anything anymore?

Speaking as a Canuck, DVRs are available from most, if not all, cable and satellite companies. The biggest problem that I have is I can't get a dual tuner one in my area.

I'm surprised that you don't have a DVR with a dual tuner in your area movieking. I have one from Rogers that I purchased two months ago.

Edit - I just checked Rogers website (if you use them in your area) and they don't even have the PVR available for the Atlantic Region.

Yup these are available. I guess my other main problem is time and the fact that I prefer watching movies. Even if I recorded a bunch of stuff, I don't know if or when I'd be able to get to it. I decided long ago not to buy tv series on DVD ("Lost" was a fluke, I wasn't originally supposed to be the one to review it) because they require a huge investment in time that I don't have.

Boo! I'm amazed I haven't read any big spoilers yet, usually I'm a sucker and read all I can and ruin the suspense.
