Not to get so off topic, but what did you guys think of the movie previews they showed during Nip/Tuck? I don't think there was one film there I actually want to see but it was better than normal commercials.

I welcome that news on The Shield as much as anybody, but I really hope that for Thief, it is the former instead of the latter. For whatever reason, I thought the show was supposed to premiere in summer '05 when I heard it announced. I have been eagerly anticipating it since then.

I think every time I start to see Christian Grow like when he comforts the Big Woman in the operating room he takes two steps back with the sleeping with Every Woman thing. I was disappointed the cop just jumped into bed with him. Don't any of these woman have any self control?

Let me ask this then. Why start off the premiere with a ten minute dream sequence that I guess was trying to fool some of the audience members into thinking Christian is dead? Anyone who has seen any of the previews, or just guessed that they would never kill him because he is the best character , knew that it was just a dream.

Love this show, and great to have it back on. Was a bit slow going at the beginning, and I also felt that a bit too much time was spent on Momma Boone, although it did tie in nicely with the other aspects of the storyline. Rhonda and McMahon displayed terrific chemistry from their first scene together. Can't wait till next week.

Differing tatses I guess. I don't think Kelly Carlson is attractive and Mitra is just okay. I think Joely Richardson is better looking than either of them.

Yep, different tastes absolutely. I personally think Joely Richardson borders on hideous looking (she looks like some kind of bug to me), while Kelly Carlson is ok in the face department with a killer body, and I find Rhona Mitra smoking all around, although it looks like she has aged a little bit.

I didn't see the actual previews but heard there was a funeral. I figured that's what they were trying to do to the audience.
I had read several interviews with Julian and he was on the cover of Entertainment Weekly a few weeks ago so I knew he would be back.

Joely Richardson hideous looking? Oh Puhleeze.

I'm sure her Father can help in that respect, considering he was the plastic surgeon that performed all of the "enhancements".

Maybe they can bring him on as a technical advisor? :)

I loved the episode. Momma's plight was the perfect way to bring the two back together, and to get them to work over the issues from last season, without being as on the nose as some other episodes.

I did feel that the policewoman jumping on top of Christian was far too forced, however. She came off as completely professional, and then, suddenly, her shirt is off? Huh? And the justification for it, "I only seduce people as dark as me" was lame.

Still, this is a cut above 97% of all other shows on television, and the payoff of the seduction was more than worth the plot contrivance. :up:

pretty good show. i liked the momma storyline once it got started and was sad to see her go.

as for rhona mitra, dear god is she hot. :drool::drool: she looks exactly like a girl i used to date.

The season premiere was the highest rated episode in the 18-49 demo of any series in F/X history.

It also drew a larger 18-49 audience than any of the series aired on ABC, WB, and UPN Tuesday night.
