I love Alyson Hannigan, and i guess this show is going to be my new guilty pleasure, or at least hopefully it will. This is actually only the second network television that i've actually set up a season pass for.

LorenzoL, do you have a quick, non-spoiler review? I'm trying to decide between this and Kitchen Confidential.
Edited to add: I figured out that I can watch both since NBC is reairing Surface on the Scifi channel Tuesday nights at 10:00 (central). to networks who reair content on their cable affiliates. Now I'm set (until Sarah Michelle Gellar gets a sitcom at 7:30 on Mondays).

regarding the show: I saw a preview of it on a CBS promo show, and Neil Patrick Harris seemed like the best part of the show (besides the beautiful woman whom the main character woos). I enjoyed him in "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle", so it'd be cool to have him bringing the funny on a weekly basis.

I saw the first episode last week because I got a preview DVD and I thought it was weak. Not very funny and Allyson was wasted. Neil Patrick Harris I thought tried to hard to be the womanizing jerk. Horrible laugh track too.

I will agree with your assessment of Hannigan, B.A.

This lost out to Kitchen Confidential on my TiVo. Sorry, Willow and Doogie!
(I will have to catch re-runs of Surface on Sci-Fi, though. Thanks for the pointer!)

Count me as one who will give this watch strictly to see Willow on tv again.
I hope that the show is good enough that that doesn't have to be my only reason to watch.
I think this is the only sitcom that I expect to watch this fall (Curb Your Enthusiasm would be 2 if you count HBO) on the networks.

Hannigan is very pretty and has a great onscreen persona, but she doesn't make me tingly in that way.
This show sucks. I can't believe TV can suck this much. No wonder I watch almost nothing but HBO.

I liked the twist at the end.
Cobie Smulders (Robin) is hot.
I didn't like Marshall all that much, just a little too neutered for my taste.
I hope the writing gets better on the show, though.
