Justice League Unlimited Thread

The Cartoon Network is airing two new episodes tonight at 10pm EST.

I AM LEGION (9/17 10 p.m.)
Spoiler:
The Legion of Doom springs Lex Luthor from jail and asks him to join up.

SHADOW OF THE HAWK (9/17 10:30 p.m.)
Spoiler:
Batman gets his batbriefs in a bunch when he learns Hawkgirl’s new romantic interest, Carter Hall, has ties to the evil planet Thanagar.

Now the million dollar question is when is YTV airing these episodes here in Canada??? Anybody know???

Fuck - I wish I saw this thread a half-hour sooner. Hopefully, the first episode isn't necessary to understand the 2nd.

It wasn't. But man you missed out on some cool Fire (and some Ice) moments. Even better we got to see Black Hawk! Also, the first episode was more important to the season story arc as it puts you in focus on the progressing Legion of doom build up.

Grodd was total bad ass.

Wow. count me as among those who are fans but didn't know it started. I've already set my RTV to record it so hopefully it caught this.

And it sucks that CN doesn't re-air them during the week.

Shadow of the Hawk was pretty cool. I was wondering when Hawkman was going to make an appearance.

Yep these were setup episodes for sure. Lex wants to be a god again, super bad guys join forces, GL & hawkgirls love will be tested.

They are going to have to pull off some major stuff to top last season.

I should have known that YTV airing the new episodes first last season in Canada was a total fluke.

I need my JLU fix!

Oh, and @ "Judas Priest!"
You didn't miss anything,
Spoiler:
it just opened with Luthor in custody, the police transporting him talking about how he's been quiet since that Braniac incident. Luthor suddenly gets violent and takes over the van
and that's where you came in.

Yeah, I'm not as disappointed with the first ep as other people. It looks like a set-up for a big arc (hopefully) of the LOD that will carried throughout the season. It's interesting to see the DC-comics version of Hawkman mixed in the Dini-universe Hawkgirl.

Wow, how cool was it when the Hall of Doom (is that what it's called?) appeared?! Such a fan-boy moment!

Glad my DVR was still set to record, so I didn't miss both! Thought the second was a repeat cause they were talking about the Hawkman last season, thought I missed it..good thing I didn't!

I liked the Legion of Doom episode, not so much with Hawkgirl. I thought this week and next week we got 4 total episodes, and then no more new ones until January '06.

Deftones, are you sure about the January 06 date after the first 4 episodes? Has that been confirmed?

I just pulled that off of TV.com, all the episodes after these 4 show 01/01/06. Not that that is anything to go by.

But, they stopped doing that 2 episodes back to back thing a while ago. Methinks this might be to burn off a few episodes and then bring it back next year. I could be totally wrong, though.

The fact that they moved the show to 10pm is not a good sign for a 3rd season.

I liked seeing the old Kartar Hol Hawkman although in the current comic continuity what proves to be true is probably false for this episode...Or is it?

Or..

The new later time could mean the show is going in a more mature direction. Yeah right....I wish.

I wonder if this Carter Hall/Katar Hol will be the hardass he is/was in the comics?

Actually, it goes back to 9pm next Saturday. I think that content on "Shadow of the Hawk" was what brought both eps to 10pm, such as:

"I miss the dress." "You didn't miss it last night."
