Surface AKA Fathom - New Show NO SPOILERS

Just saw a dvd screener of the pilot episode

Pretty damm good show for those into adventure/sci fi

It's about discovery of sea monsters and is similar in premise to the Abyss

Good production values and good acting so far

Definitely recommended checking out

I thought it was alright, however, certain elements fell really flat and didn't mesh particularly well. Personally, I think Threshold is the one to beat. I have some pet peeves regarding it, but they really put together a great cast for that one, and I consider it the best of the new Sci-Fi genre related premiers.

Id give it a chance mate, i think they had a lot of characters to introduce in this first episode, that's why it felt a bit mish mashey. I reckon it will hit it's stride ok.

Yep i've got Threshold and Killer Instinct to watch today

Killer's been reworked, and from what I saw, I really don't have high hopes for it sticking for very long.

I enjoy this genre, so I'll give Surface a chance, however, I firmly believe it's below the quality of both Threshold and Invasion. No question they had quite a few characters to introduce, however, Threshold and Invasion have large ensemble casts as well and I think their pilot's were better executed.

Threhold looks like of the 2 shows, it's the one to watch. Just having Brent Spiner takes it up quite a few notches.
